The wonderousness of Björk
Help me, ever since that bloody MyMC (AOL's Music Videos on Demand from Time Warner, channel 751 here) put up 15 Björk videos I've been crazed with loving them. Tell me 1) if you've ever heard of Björk and 2) do you like her music before I go and spend the little money I have on all 4 of her albums.
That avatar is a self portrait. Really. Really. No matter how much it looks like D'Angelo, that's me. .... Oh, just shut up.
"Man, I am like obsessed with this show...could anyone have made a worse tv program if they set out to? The best part is, it was my grandma's FAVORITE show. We put her in a home shortly after she made that comment."

Well, I personally love Bjork. Her music is wonderful, and her voice... *drools* She can really do almost anything, music-wise. I've heard her pour out techno, pop, electronica, everything. I also love her quirky (and sometimes violent) personality.
Granted, I have very odd, eclectic tastes in music. Garbage, No Doubt, Mindless Self Indulgence, Orgy, Marilyn Manson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Mandy Moore, Smile.dk, Pierrot, Black Eyed Peas, Jack Off Jill..... I like a lot of weird stuff. ^^;;

Yes, I really love her personality... I still remember when she knocked that paparazzo girl to the ground after getting off a plane... just thinking about it makes me tremble with laughter, mainly because she just turned around and proceeded to topple the girl without saying a word.
So do I. My CD collection goes from early Prince to TLC to Alicia Keys to Selena, flying over almost every genre.Granted, I have very odd, eclectic tastes in music. I really like what I've heard of Bjork - I can't say I'm her biggest fan, but she's got an incredibly versatile voice, and she's one of those musicians that you can tell is having fun with her music - some are so busy pandering for the media that it doesn't look like they enjoy what they do.

I'm with Ni-ban. i'm not a huge fan, but she has a pretty amazing voice. I LOVE the song "bachelorette".
Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I'm rather bored, and i simply feel like listing and/or reviewing all the Bjork songs on MyMC.
1. Alarm Call - This video uses a remixed version of the song, and I like it more than the slower version. The background refrain "It doesn't scare me at all" is nice too.
2. All Is Full of Love- This video is weird. Kama Sutra meets Industrial Robotics? Song's pretty though.
3. Army of Me- How comforting it is to listen to this song. Hard rock is always nifty.
4. Bachelorette- I don't know what it is, but I only moderately like this song. I think it may just repeat too much. Maybe I'll like it more if I read the lyrics.
5.Big Time Sensuality- Now this song's excellent. The lyrics rock. ("It takes courage/ to enjoy it/the hardcore and gentle/ Big Time Sensuality... I don't know my future after this weekend/ and I don't want to" )
6. Human Behavior- The song that propelled Bjork to some level of stardom... can get tiresome. After one is captivated with it and listens to it a million times, the song loses it's magic and one dosen't like it as much. That video is really cool, though. Have YOU ever been chased by a giant teddy bear?
7. Hunter- AIIEEEE! Bjork has male pattern baldness! Really, this song is cool, video=frightening. I'll never understand this lyric though: "I thought I could organize freedom/ how Scandinavian of me"
8. Hyperballad- Voted the most popular Bjork song in 2002 for the Greatest Hits album, this song rocks. It's obviously about suicide, too.
9. I Miss You- Possibly one of the worst videos I've ever seen. John K. should go to hell. The song is very pretty though, and I like what she really means by "I miss you/ but I haven't met you yet"
10. Isobel- This and Bachelorette are about a character Bjork and a friend invented when she was young. This song is so pretty- an orchestra and all. I love the video and it black-and-whiteness.
11. It's In Our Hands- This song is spooky- that's why I like it. It's very eerie, made more by the fact that she sung it to New Yorkers a little after September 11th.
12. It's Oh So Quiet- Ha, the Broadway cheesiness of this song guarantees it a space in history... somewhere. I remember hearing this on Vh1 a few years ago and thinking, at the part where she screams "Not so quiet anymore, is it?"
13. Possibly Maybe- You've probably heard part of this song before- a riff from it is used in Vh1's Insomniac Music Theatre bumpers! Bjork says that it's her first sad song, but it doesn't seem that sad... it's just not happy.
14. Venus as a Boy- This song is so beautiful, with that "broken bottle" sound. It's also frankly about sex too.
15. Violently Happy- Probably the worst song of the 15 here. The lyrics are good, but the song just doesn't rock.
