Becuase I find them irritating. They're obnoxious, pretty damn ugly, IMO, and the song makes me want to hurt things.

Favourite commercial: Any of those Got Milk ones that have a kiddie story.

Least favourite: Nivea Visage. "What do you see?" "You." "What else?" "...nothing."
"That new girl? She seems kinda weird to me. And what kind of name is Buffy anyway?"
"Hey, Aphrodisia!"

Has anyone seen the new DQ ad where they're taste testing the new cappachino things and the woman won't give the drink back and runs away but slams into a wall because she's blindfolded? I burst out laughing when I saw that (although my mom thinks it's a stupid commercial).

Also, the Canadian Tire ads make me laugh. But it's not because of any humour in it. Their's an "actress" in the ads that I don't like, so I laugh because she's clearly out of work (I'm not wicked, really,)

LMFAO I did, too. I think it's pretty funny.

Do you mean the ones with her along with her 'family'? Like the ones where they can bring along the DVD player camping, and she puts them all to sleep using the "Love in Paris" dvd or whatever the hell?
If so, I agree with you completely. I hate that person...Too corny.

On another note, my favourite commercials are the ones you can memorize the jingles and then sing them in public places. First it was the Goldfish commericals, now the Ritz Scuba Crackers, and if you really want people to thing you're insane...Sing the Peptol Bismol(sp?) commerical.
Mr. James : Lost a satellite on liftoff today.
Dave : Cost?
Mr. James : 10 million dollars.
Dave : Result?
Mr. James : Extreme set back.
Dave : Milk?
Mr. James : Spilled.
Dave : Gonna cry about it?
Mr. James : Not even.
Dave : I''m sitting on a rather sharp tack.
Mr. James : That's gotta hurt.
Dave : Well, life's a bitch...
Mr. James : ...And then you die.
Dave : My...
Mr. James : ...oh...
Dave : ...my.

Yeah, that's her, Gloria Slade. But she used to be on my favorite show (Traders) and her acting was horrible, bad enough to ruin a scene. That and I could not stand her character.

I have. I also think it is funny. The one thing about the DQ ads, though, is that there isn't a DQ around my area.

Once in my ecomonics class there was a time where we watched commercials to see how they affect the growth.. But one day one of the commercials for steriods showed a man doing push ups with both arms. Then one arm. Then none (if you understand what i mean.) We all burst into laughter while the teacher went onto damage control.

I too, think that commercial's pretty funny.

Has anyone seen the new Mastercard commercial? Some guy lost his luggage and he's like 'good thing I put that new honing device on it!' and he pushes a button on a control. When the bag of luggage starts wheeling it's way back to him. It starts wheeling across the street and later riding a bicycle. Then the narrator person was like 'if like were like that, you wouldn't need Mastercard...' and something else., I forget. I thought it was pretty funny. The background music made it even funnier. But I think that it's one of those commericals where it's funny the first few times and gets annoying after a while.

I mentioned the DQ commercial on the 2nd page. I love it.
I also really like the commercial for Subway where they do a montage of people counting. I don't know why, it's not funny (and I don't find it funny). It's just...cool.
But my NEW FAVORITE commercial is the Gatorade one that goes "A bat's a bat...even if its flat, and Football is football...unless it's...Football." I REALLY like that commercial.

I LOVE that Orbits gum commercial where the chinese girl and another girl are in a kickboxing match. The other girl kicks the chinese girl's hand, thus breaking her nail, and the chinese girl lets out an incredibly loud chinese curse word. The audience gasps, and everybody falls silent. Then the Orbit British spokeswoman says "Dirty mouth? Clean it up, with orbit!" The chinese girl chews it, then grins with a "DING" sound effect.

I think it' shilarious.

I've never seen that one. It sounds hilarious. In Canada, the American stations that we're limited to are Fox, CNN, and (MS)NBC. There might be others, I forget. Will I ever see that commerical on Fox? I haven't even seen it on Fox yet.

A Skittles commerical I just saw is great. There's three people sitting on top of a rainbow, and one of them is like "What if this rainbow doesn't exist? What if it's only part of our imigi....?" and the part of the rainbow he's sitting on disappears and he falls really far. Great commerical.

There are some Olympic ones on a Canadian network, the CBC sport channel thingy, that are really cool. I'm not sure if these are shown in the U.S, but the McDonald's one they have is awesomem where Ronald McDonald is swimming, and he start's pulling ahead and you can hear the announcer yelling "Those shoes...They're like flippers!"
Another good one is where they do a little blurb about how Canada was about to pull out of hockey just after the war- And this guy offered to use the Air Force team. After a lot of tweaking, they finally get into a good position to win...But they can't skate to Switzerland. So after all the blah blah blah financing, they finally get there, and win gold!

I haven't seen that one, but it sounds cool XD

Oh god, that reminds me of the Skittles commercial they've been showing up here. These kids are listening to rap music and suddenly the grandma gets up and starts rapping and then she flashes them. The grandson is embarassed and gets her to sit down and he puts a blanket on her. It was so stupid. Wait, this thread is about our favorite commercials! Nevermind, but I just thought I'd mention that XD

New current favorite. The Pikmin 2 commerical. It has the greatest thing, the one thing that makes a great anything, and a whole lot of them.

Midgets.

Lots and lots of midgets.

And all dressed up in Pikmin suits.

You can't NOT love it.

That commercial makes no sense to me, and it creeps me out.

It has midgets, it doesn't have to make sense. Though so it does make sense to you, in Pikmin you control a character who has the Pikmin perform tasks for you. So in the spirit of the "Who Are You?' commerical line, it has the teen guys having the Pikmin perfom tasks for them, in this case getting them a hot dog. So that's why they were getting a hot dog, and then the guy sent them back since he wanted mustard on it.

But who cares about the commerical plot? I've never seen so many midgets at once.... ^^;;;
