While my sympathies lie largely (but not entirely) with the people and concepts he's lambasting, the song's still damn funny. Oh, excuse me, darn funny. Though you say he sounds peeved--I think it's the unemotional nature of the singing that lends the humor. That was the genius of Python, that they could talk about ridiculous concepts like the Ministry of Silly Walks and the Spanish Inquisition's weaponry in the same tones they would talk about the day's weather.
