I'm writing this Sailor Moon/Green Lantern crossover AU fic called "Emerald Sunrise". It's a hybrid of Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, and Comedy. It's about Ami (Sailor Mercury) getting a new boyfriend who just happens to be a member of The Green Lantern Corps. I'm also throwing in some other characters from other animes and some old Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the late '60's early '70's. I'm also illustrating it as well. Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.

I could never fully understand why someone would hate their ethnicity, especially if it's because of stereotypes. Your ethnicity doesn't determine who you are personality-wise. To answer the question though, no my parents are proud of who they are.

Jamaican (but I dont look it)
I guess you mean you don't look black? The majority of Jamaican people are of African decent but you'll definitely see other kinds of people there.[/quote]

Well, Dreamempress, my mom hates the Romani (gypsy) bit on my dad's side, which added to her decision to switch to Catholocism when my parents divorced.

Mom's side:
Mostly English and French
One great great great (or so) grandpa Mongolian

Dad's side:
Mostly German and English
Great great great grandmother Romani

The piece of non-European in me is very, very small.

It's just something I never understood. We've got a small part Irish in us. Possibly a small part in mom too. My dad keeps saying that he doesn't approve of the politics of Ireland, but yet when I pointed out some pretty artwork to him, he liked it until he found out it was Irish. I would have liked to have been more exposed to the culture when I was younger instead of him constantly making negative remarks on it. It's frustrating especially since supposively it's a part of our family's history (somewhere down the line). How can he act like that toward a country that has such an artistic side to it?

Thanks Anthy. I'm glad to know that I'm not alone on this issue.

Mothers Side (in order of dominance):
-Irish. (Yay!)
-Scottish. (Yay, again!)
-English. (I speak it, too.)
-Native American. (I'm 1/8 I think. Mom never said which tribe.)

There are a lot more (I'm a mutt, and I love it), but I'm not clear on all of them. The family history is full of holes, and my mom can't seem to find any good documentation that goes back any farther than her Grandmother.

I am Irish, and I strongly disapprove of the Irish politics. Until, of course, I found out about their plan to assassinate George Bush. (I'm not kidding, they were seriously planning it. I'll find the link and edit the post.) I was kidding about the now-approval, though. I think The Republic of Ireland has a horrible government. The IRA is part of the government, and by today's standards, they are a terrorist organization (except of course, that they ARE the government, so they're not going against themselves.)

Of course, my family's from Ulster (Northern Ireland), so that might explain my dislike of the IRA.

Mother : French
Dad: French

Though we're not France-French, we're Reunion Island-French *see Indian Ocean under Madagascar :P* . Though the first member of our family came to that island around 1500 and before that... we were French XD... maybe of some Celtic descent, dunno, Huet seems such a common name ^^;; . Mom says she might have some black blood in her family, though her own mom will never admit it *must have been long ago* .

I am 100% Pure Pinoy (Filipino)!

And the one thing that annoys me when I meet other Filipinos is that they say that I'm not a true Filipino if I never eat dogs!
