Thats so lame.....spiders plz!

That is rather offending to quite a few people on this board, I'm sure. If you have a phobia, then you're scared of something. I'm scared to death of bees. With they kill me? Likely not, because I don't believe I have an allergy. Does that change the fact that I'm deathly afraid of them? Not in the least. Some people are scared of spiders. Depending on the type, the spider likely won't kill them. That doesn't change the fact that they're afraid of spiders. It may be lame to you because maybe you don't have arachnophobia, but looking at the posts, a few people here do. It's rather insulting to be called lame for something that you have a phobia of, however severe. People are different : We know the insect can't kill us, but we're afraid because that's how we are. The people who have the phobias CANNOT HELP IT. It's not right to insult them for something like that.

Just because somebody happens to be afraid of something that you don't think is a big deal Mizangelamy, gives you no reason to call them lame. If you were afraid of something that somebody else didn't think was a big deal, you wouldn't like it if they called you lame, would you? I know I sure wouldn't, so I wouldn't make fun of them for it. It's like what they say. "Do unto other as you would want them to do unto them." Or something like that. ^^;;

I too am very afraid of spiders (you're not alone Kisu ~_^). I sort of feel like they're going to jump on me. Here in B.C. we supposedly have Black widows although I've never seen them. Although there sure are a lot of mother f$^%$#^ing HUGE wolf spiders here. The other day there was one on the side of the house. I felt nervous the entire time I was inside the house thinking that it would creep in, until my dad came home and turned it into a smear on the house

Then on Sunday I went to take shower and as I went to get something I saw one crawling infront of my face on the door of the shower. I thought I squished it with some paper. I couldn't find it. When I opened the door the bastard was on the wall. That time I got him.

Parakiss, you said that one time you found a spider in your car and drove with it in your car. Sweety, you're braver then me. I'd have refused to get in the car and run off screaming.

Edit: WTF?! Lame, hey thanks. What the Hell are you afraid of and we'll see if what you're scared off is anymore "plausable".

A spider. . . a non-poisonous little daddy long legs. . . is as frightening to you as being raped? You. . . would rather be raped, than have a spider in your bedroom?

Forgive me, dear. . . I'm just having one hell of a time trying to grasp that one.

I can understand a fear of fire. Fire is dangerous. Fire can harm you.

A non-poisonous insect cannot. If you have a phobia that is that severe, you need to seek professional therapy.

I mean. . . sure, okay. You're scared of spiders. But honest to God, you'd rather be raped than be near a spider???
That, isn't irrational. That is abnormal. If you hate spiders that badly, please, get some help.

You need to read every post. That whole incident between Migiwa, Parakiss, and the spiders/rape was SETTLED, and was NOT to be brought up again. Not to mention that you have no right to tell someone else that their fear is "lame". Have some manners, please, and common courtesy.
