I must agree here nukes are very nasty. But what can you do we live in a destructive era.yoshmaster5 wrote:I also hate Nuclear Weapons...
1. WAY too destructive
2. Destroys whole environment, and can effect those not even in the blast radius, even after decades.
3. Kills almost everything withen a certain radius.
4. Contaminates areas nowhere near the bomb.
Weapon hates and likes.

Well, thinking about it, any weapon that doesn't have a direct target, that is, any kind of bomb, grenade, biological/chemical agent, and I'd also put a machine gun into this category, is in a different class than the weapons of hand-to-hand combat. Even with a rifle or shotgun, you still have to look at your enemy and use the weapon on him, specifically. These are personal weapons, weapons of honor. The first kind, bombs et al, are political weapons, weapons of war. They can be used by anyone--the work is done in their invention and production. These weapons have their uses, but they have no aesthetics or humanity attached.
It's interesting that this topic's title refers to hates. I can't really generate the emotion of hate for such a simple concept as the nature of an inanimate object, any more than I can love it. Love and hate are deep emotions that must apply to deep concepts. The person who uses a weapon for an immoral purpose, for material or spiritual aims at the expense of innocents, that person I might hate. The person who uses a weapon to defend honor or justice or freedom, that person I could love. The weapons themselves are just means, neither justified nor stigmatized by the ends for which they are used.
