Mario and Zelda Cartoons Are BACK!!!!

Yahoo has the old Mario and Zelda cartoons ONLINE for everyone to watch!!!!

This is great news for me, since I grew up with them, so this gives me a chance to enjoy them all over again!

Looking back on the shows though, they do seem pretty cheesy.

And you thought "Leapin' Lasagna" was cheesy...her are some other lines I caught whilst watching "Butch Mario and the Luigi Kid"

"Hey, cactus! In your face, pardner!" --Mario, taunting a Pokey (you know, those cactus monsters?)

*"I'll leave the crawling to you, you repulsive reptile!"
--Peach to Bowser, when Bowser says that she'll crawl at his feet

*"Hey, what's the matter with Bowser's wagon? Is it broken?" --Luigi to Toad, when Toad says he'll "fix Bowser's wagon" (i.e. kick Bowser's butt)

*"Oh no...Indent!...uh I mean, Dented!...uh I mean...WE'RE TRAPPED!!!" --Luigi, when the group gets cornered by a waterfall with some Snifits hot on their trail

"I'm no frog, I can't even swim!" --Toad, when Mario suggests they leapfrog across the logs to escape

(Gee, Luigi's getting the brunt of the funny lines in this one....)

This is great to be able to watch these episodes anytime you want online. I already have most of the Zelda cartoon episodes burned on VCD, but I'll definetly check out the Mario episodes, since I can't find any for download with Kazaa.

I was so excited to find out that Mario and Zelda are now on that. But I can't seem to get it to work for me. Every time I try it says Action Canceled. *sigh* and I was looking forward to watching it too. I think I need help.

Does anyone know how to skip that stupid Apple Jacks advertisement that you have to go through before watching each clip? I mean, it gets really old after the 10 millionth time.

BTW, I think Penny Pinch the Stingy Accountant is the suspect. Only Accountants can BS the inventory amount and make it look like nothing has happened.

Once someone figures out how to download these Mario eps let us know. I have a Mac and it won't let me watch it and I'm not about to go get a PC just to watch these eps.

I finally found out why I can't watch them. I have pop up blocker and i have to turn it off to watch it. That's so frustrating!!!

Yes, I did say that. I'll have to look up the excat info again, and am too lazy to do so now ^^;; but yes, DVDs starting this summer, maybe even May but I don't think it was that soon. The first DVD will have the entire first week of the show. It will include all 5 LA segments, all 4 cartoon segments, and the Friday Zelda cartoon from that first week. I don't remember when it comes out, but it's a definite for sometime in the next few months. ^_^

The official release date will be July 6, 2004. The DVDs will have a list price of $14.99, and the studio expects them to sell for about $10 in most stores. If these releases prove successful, they will continue to release Super Mario Brothers Super Show episodes in the as-aired order, with the possibility of a half/full season box set later on.

The first release will include five episodes, in order of when they originally aired, which are:

* "The Bird! The Bird!"
* "King Mario of Cramalot"
* "Butch Mario & the Luigi Kid"
* "Mario's Magic Carpet"
* (Legend of Zelda): "The Ringer"

I thought they already had DVDs for Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda. I've seen them on sale at Amazon.com and a lot of people who reviewed them like the shows, but thought they had crappy DVD releases.
