I've got a problem
I just realized I have a crush on my History teacher. Is that wrong?
If you love something, set it free....If it comes back, set it on fire....But if it never comes back....HUNT IT DOWN AND KILL IT!!!!!
No.
Is pursuing it wrong? YES.
I've had huge crushes on teachers. Not a damn thing wrong with that. Just shows you're human. Talk to only people you trust about this, and try to keep it to nothing more than fantisizing.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I don't see too much wrong with a crush as long as it's not pursued. I had one on my drama teacher in high school. He was older and fairly cute. Especially with the mustache. I was annoyed when he got rid of it. The most sweetest guy in the world. I found out my junior year he was gay. I still had the crush though. A girl can still dream, can't she?

Well, there can be various situations, and here are my thoughts:
A) You are less than 18, still in high school.
=> wrong. wroooooooooong. beep beep, no pursuing, beep beep. Try to "forget" too, because dreaming is one thing, but sometimes, you have a crush and it "develops" and then, you can have problems following the class. I've known of girls that turned crazy about their teacher and it was nooooooooot good. Especially when the guy is married and doesn't like you, you'll end up broken hearted and no one wants that.
B) You are close to 18 (say, less than three months) and the teacher is no more than 10 years older (I say that cause my boyfriend is ten years older than I am) . If the guy likes you, and if the guy is a good guy, then, let's say, why not, as long as you talk about it to your parents and that they are understanding. If they're not, it'll be a pain.
C) You're in college, 19, 20 years old or something.
=> Bwah, it's your life

Okay, the guy is 38, and I am 14. I'm assuming a 24 year age difference does NOT work.
The thing that sucks is my parents are planning on holding me back because I have two B's and a C+....They expect me to be a straight A student. So......yeah.

I must agree with the others, having a simple crush is nothing bad. Just as long as it's just a crush...You never know, 24 year old differences can work occasionally, but that's only some of the time. And that's if the guy likes you back. I'm not sure if your teacher would have the same feelings for you, so keep that in mind. So, I suggest you just keep it as a crush, and that's it. It's ok to have the feelings and such, just keep them to yourself, and try to move on, or else you'll get hurt.
Mr. James : Lost a satellite on liftoff today.
Dave : Cost?
Mr. James : 10 million dollars.
Dave : Result?
Mr. James : Extreme set back.
Dave : Milk?
Mr. James : Spilled.
Dave : Gonna cry about it?
Mr. James : Not even.
Dave : I''m sitting on a rather sharp tack.
Mr. James : That's gotta hurt.
Dave : Well, life's a bitch...
Mr. James : ...And then you die.
Dave : My...
Mr. James : ...oh...
Dave : ...my.

...Okay, wow. No. Dream from afar, and find something else on which to focus your energy. Find a guy your age, or no guy at all. Do you have any hobbies, sports, anything? It's okay to think a teacher is cute or something, but leave it at that.ValleyGirl wrote:Okay, the guy is 38, and I am 14. I'm assuming a 24 year age difference does NOT work.

Ah, yeah, now that you told us your age, I'll go with Tiff. Would you have been above, say, 24, and he was 28 years older, that would have been your choice, but you're too young now to focus on something like that (plus bear in mind he could be your dad, amazing how many girls get disgusted when they think of that).
I don't want to make you feel disgusted, but still, you have to remember, there is always someone waiting for you
