4 minutes

Post by jupiter23 » Thu Mar 11, 2004 4:45 pm

A morning radio show on a station in my area asked this question, and I thought it was pretty interesting. So here it is.

If you only had 4 minutes left to live, but could hear any song in those last 4 minutes that you wanted to hear, what would it be? and any song counts.

R.E.M.'s "End of the World"

Why? Because how many times you could listen to that song, and have it really be true for you?
"I loved you. I was a pentapod monster, but I love you. I was despicable and brutal and turpid, mais je t'aimais, je t'aimais. And there were times when I knew how you felt, and it was hell to know it. My Lolita girl, brave Dolly Schuller."

Ack!

I would have to say 'Moonlight Legend"

Why?

Because Sailor Moon is my show! Might as well die with me.

I pick the Song that Never Ends!

I'm sorry, but I have two choices.

The Wind Beneath My Wings, becuase it's my mother's song and mine...and I love her more than anybody else.

Unchained Melody, becuase not only is that song utterly beautiful, but it's Derek's and mine's song, and I'd want to be reminded that I was loved.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I would probably chose...hmm...either "Kaze Mo, Sora Mo, Kitto" or "Nagareboshi He" In the end, probably Kaze Mo, Sora Mo, Kitto.

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....

Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

I sure as heck have no idea.

I'd call my boyfriend and would ask him to sing for me, I guess.

Sorry I didn't reply to my own topic when I made it. I had no time. Anyway, I would pick either Change the World or Every Heart from the Inuyasha soundtrack, because I really like both songs.

By the way, if anyone wants some amusement, someone responded to that question on the radio with AC/DC's Highway to Hell.

Probably "Different People" by No Doubt. I think it's currently my favorite song. And I love the lyrics, about how no two people are identical in the world. Because it's so true.

I would pick "Como La Flor" (Like the Flower) by Selena. It is a very sweet song, that makes me both cry and be happy because I know she's in a better place.

And since it's the last song I'll be hearing, it'll make me believe I will see her :)

I'd go with either "Will You Still Love Me?" by Chicago, or "Hey Stoopid" by Alice Cooper.
"Oh yeah. Someone is definitely tired of breathing." ("The Main Man", Part 1)

I'm writing this Sailor Moon/Green Lantern crossover AU fic called "Emerald Sunrise". It's a hybrid of Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, and Comedy. It's about Ami (Sailor Mercury) getting a new boyfriend who just happens to be a member of The Green Lantern Corps. I'm also throwing in some other characters from other animes and some old Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the late '60's early '70's. I'm also illustrating it as well. Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.

~"Deep Silent Complete" or "Forever Yours" by Nightwish
~"The Skellig" by Loreena McKennitt
~"Kaze to Issho Ni" from the Pocket Monsters: Mewtwo no Gyakushuu original soundtrack
~"Dearest," "A Song for XX," or "Dolls" by Hamasaki Ayumi

Any one of those songs would do just fine.
"I want to go back to believing in everything and knowing nothing at all..."
~Evanescence, "Field of Innocence"

"I love you."
"WHAT!?! What did you say!?"
"Um, uh, olive juice!"
"...Olive juice?"
"*in a whisper* Olive juice you too!"
~Stewie and Brian, Family Guy, "The Tan Aquatic with Steve Zissou"

Hmm. I think that I would choose Isengard Unleashed from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack because it's the death theme for Haldir, and then at the end it has the Ents marching to their deaths. I love the song to bits, and I would love it to be the last thing I hear, reminders of the story I love dearly.
Mr. James : Lost a satellite on liftoff today.
Dave : Cost?
Mr. James : 10 million dollars.
Dave : Result?
Mr. James : Extreme set back.
Dave : Milk?
Mr. James : Spilled.
Dave : Gonna cry about it?
Mr. James : Not even.
Dave : I''m sitting on a rather sharp tack.
Mr. James : That's gotta hurt.
Dave : Well, life's a bitch...
Mr. James : ...And then you die.
Dave : My...
Mr. James : ...oh...
Dave : ...my.

Since I'm going to be limited to four minutes anyway, and since I'm not the most emotional of people, I'm going to pick Rush - New World Man. It would only be fitting to listen to my favorite band in my last four minutes
He's got to make his own mistakes
and learn to mend the mess he makes
He's old enough to know what's right
and young enough not to choose it
He's noble enough to win the world
but weak enough to lose it - Rush - "New World Man"

That would be a hard choice. It would either be...

1) Heartbeat of Shimna from Vampire Princess Miyu
2) My Last Breath by Evanescence
3) Gekkouka by Janne da Arc
or
4) Moonlight Destiny from SMS: Movie

I dunno. I was just looking at it and I suddenly got this urge to get inside. No, not just an urge - more than that. It was my destiny to be here; in the box. And then when I put it on, I suddenly got this feeling of inner peace. I can´t put it into words. I feel... safe. Like this is where I was meant to be. Like I´d found the key to true happiness.
