That Donkey Kong Country Show

What ever happened to that DKC show? I remember seeing one episode of it and it was pretty cool. I was done completely in 3D. Very well done. All the characters from the DKC games were there including DK, Diddy, Candy, Dixie, Funky etc. I miss it eventhough I've only seen an episode or so. Does anyone know whether a station still airs the episode(s) of it?

I saw a few episodes of it. I thought it was... blah. I believe it was on the Family Channel...

It's not on anymore, but I remember seeing it on ABC Family (back when it was called Fox Family) and liking it a lot. One of the better video game to cartoon adaptions, as with Earthworm Jim and (some) Sonic series.

Only one video was ever made of the series, and it had the title "Legend of the Crystal Coconut", or something like that. It was the first two or three episodes of the tv series, I believe. Good luck finding it.

I've seen the VHS at Walmart.

As for the show, I will never watch it again. It was just so corny and bad. The graphics were ok, but the characters were so annoying. Why can't DK just choke on a bannana? He just gets this "stupid" personality, and Diddy Kong isn't that bright either.

I don't think I will ever manage to watch a full episode again

Personally, the corniness of the show is what made me like it. Same thing with the Mario cartoons and Adventures of Sonic the Hedegehog (and yes, I do prefer it over the Saturday morning series. You may question my sanity once again).

I remember one particular episode...in it Cranky has to go calm some yeti down, so he leaves DK and Diddy in charge of the Crystal Coconut (hereafter known as the CC so I don't have to type it repeatedly).

DK and Diddy get bored after a while, so they start going through Cranky's spell books. DK (or was it Diddy...can't remember exactly) finds a spell that begins "Take one banana, and zing, zang, zoom..." and they turn it into this huge musical number (that got stuck in my head for a week). What they don't know is, that's the spell to bring the CC out of its holder, so after realizing their mistake, they have to go after it...

Yeah I think I remember that one too.. About not wanting to repeatedly type Crystal Coconut: there's always the copy/paste combo ya know. ^_~

And the sad part is that it took you longer to type that than it would have to type Crystal Coconut the one other time that you used it...

I can barely remember that show and I thought it was extremely cheezy at the time. I watched a few episodes, but that was about it.
