Chappelle Show
What do you all think of Chappelle Show? I think it's HILARIOUS. I loved the True Hollywood Stories on Rick James and Charlie Murphy.
"Charlie Murphy! What did the 5 fingers say to the face?"
"What?"

I am aware that the show offends some people, but remember, it's just comedy. What are your thoughts on the show?

I love the show. Thought it was great when it started last year, and the second season has been awesome so far. Easily the best follow-up show after South Park. My favorite skits include the aforementioned Rick James tribute episode (done to perfection imo), the newly added Lil Jon segments (until Dave started those segments, I never noticed that all Lil Jon says in songs is "OK", "Yeah!", and "What?!", everytime I hear a song with Lil Jon in it, I never hear him say anything outside those words), the Niggar family skit, last year's mock up of R Kelly's music video, as well as many others I can't think of right now. I also like the added touch of ending off each show with a musical guest, my faves that I can remember being DMX kicking off season two and a couple weeks ago Anthony Hamilton (I think that's what his name was). The show is pure gold, and I hope it lasts a long time.

Who watched last week's episode? The skit of parodying a children's show with puppets was pure genius. Puppets singing songs about drugs, sex, and veneral diseases to kids was just funny as hell to see. Especially that dog in the trash can, that song has been stuck in my head for the past week now.

You never heard of it? You are really missing out. I think the second season is done, but you can catch Wednesdays at 10:30pm after Southpark.RoastedTwinkies wrote:I've never heard of the show. I feel like such a retard. I must have been living under a rock or something.

Um, thanks, but I live in Canada. Here, South Park airs at 10:30 on weekday nights on the Comedy Network ( I think the link is www.comedynetwork.ca ), but the Man Show comes comes on right after. I'm not even sure if the show is airing here, and if it is, then chances are that we're a season or two behind you guys (if the show has even made it that far yet) just like with South Park, the Osbournes, and all the good American shows.Jonathan wrote:You never heard of it? I saw that, and that was the first time the show ever disgusted me. Mainly it's because I was A) eating and B) tired and unalert, and didn't need to see the damn puppet's penis.MarioKnight wrote:Who watched last week's episode? That avatar is a self portrait. Really. Really. No matter how much it looks like D'Angelo, that's me. .... Oh, just shut up.

I don't have anything against the Chapelle Show, but I can't stand a large variety of the jokes on it. For no other reason than I'm sick of hearing them. If I find one more normal, average white guy screaming "YEAH" "WHAT" or "OKAY" I'm going to kill them.

yes, that is very annoying! months after the fact, i would still hear people saying "i'm rick james, bitch!". many times was my english class interrupted by one chappelle's show quote turn into many. and as much of an exaggeration as this sounds like, it is %100 true: up to the last day of school, every single time i went into the hallway i would hear chappelle's show quotes. i love chappelle's show, but i hate people who quote tv shows (yes, myself included, look up at my earlier quote. i hang my head in shame).
hey.
"YEAH!"
shut up.
"WHAT?!"
shut the hell up!
"OK!!"
