Ooh, I've seen that one!

Here are some of the funny lines from "Butch Mario and the Luigi Kid" (the Western themed one)

"Hey, cactus! In your face, pardner!" --Mario, taunting a Pokey (you know, those cactus monsters?)

"I'll leave the crawling to you, you repulsive reptile!"
--Peach to Bowser, when Bowser says that she'll crawl at his feet

"Hey, what's the matter with Bowser's wagon? Is it broken?" --Luigi to Toad, when Toad says he'll "fix Bowser's wagon" (i.e. kick Bowser's butt)

"Oh no...Indent!...uh I mean, Dented!...uh I mean...WE'RE TRAPPED!!!" --Luigi, when the group gets cornered by a waterfall with some Snifits hot on their trail

"I'm no frog, I can't even swim!" --Toad, when Mario suggests they leapfrog across the logs to escape

(Gee, Luigi's getting the brunt of the funny lines in this one....)

"Paty-cake, paty cake; pasta man, gimmie Pasta Power as fast as you can!" --Mario and Luigi

"That's a goner, spaghetti-head!"--Mario to Luigi, after Luigi tells him that he's a "gondola" due to a Bob-omb blast

"Yipe! Now we're ALL gondolas!" --Luigi, when Bowser finds the group

"I can think of seven...Spaghetti, ravioli, linguini, tortenelli...::some other kinds of pasta I didn't catch:: and garlic ice cream!" --Mario to Peach, when Peach thanks the group for saving her

I thought that was a cool show when I was little. I remember when I was 4-6 years old, I forget, it would come on at lunch hour and I would watch it all the time. Then YTV moved the show to about 5:00 in the morning and then later, 6:30 in the morning by the time I was about seven. I used to have this strange power when I was a kid. See, I wanted to get up early to watch the show and I asked my parents to wake me up so I could watch it. They refused. So, then I would tell myself I wanted to get up at 4:30 in the morning, and I would always get up at that time without an alarm clock. So then I watched Samurai Pizza Cats and the Mario Brothers. If I wanted to get up at a certain time, I always managed to get up at that time without a wake-up call. Sadly, I can't do it that much anymore. Only sometimes, I am able to get up at a certain time without an alarm.

It's been so long and I was so little at the time when I watched the Mario Brothers, I vaguely remember the show, so I can't recall much of specific episodes. However, I do remember this one scene from the live action part of the show. Mario and Luigi were making paintings of food. Luigi painted an amazing picture of a pizza, while Mario's looked crappy, as he used real food for his.

One thing I never understood was why the Bros. were some kind of monster attractant.

By watching the online episodes alone, I've counted two run-ins with vampires and a Frankenstien parody.

Wonder what other monsters they've attracted to their humble hideaway?

UPDATE: After reading through an episode guide (which I still need to do, but the black text on green background was hurting my eyes), our beloved Bros. have ran into aliens and (I think) a few ghosts. (complete with some of the Ghostbusters!)

Episode I'm looking foward to online release: "Stars In Your Eyes", since you also get to hear the Zelda theme in it.
