As is pretty obvious, I worship Alice in Wonderland; I'll admit the movie could have been much better, but the Mad Tea Party scene was perfect (I'm sure you can guess my favorite character is the Mad Hatter). Other Disney movies I like are:

Pete's Dragon- Fav. character, Hogie
Robin Hood- Fav. character, Prince John
Song of the South- Fav. character, Brer Fox
Atlantis- Fav. character, Vinnie

I used to really love the Brave Little Toaster when I was little, too, and I really don't care for any of the Dinsey movies nowadays.
STAGE OUT!!!

fantasia: brilliant. lovely music and beautiful artwork/
sleeping beauty: just one of those girly little fairy tales and i would dream about when i was little
snow white: first ever animated movie, right? classic, it was really great
lady and the tramp: i love this disney movie best of all because it was just way too adorable
emperors new groove: this one pretty hilarious, and i loved kusco
finding nemo: i can watch this movie a million times and I'll never get tired of this sweet little story
mulan: this was a great one cuz it was different. it wasn't a fairytale of princesses and princes, and it was in china, which was pretty cool
beauty and the beast: so sweet and a tearjerker
the little mermaid: mermaids rock! and i love the guy (can't remeber his name) i was in love with him when i was little
alice in wonderland: this one is just soooo crazy i love it!
aristocats: i love this one, it used to be my favorite ( and still kinda is, but lady and the tramp is just a tiny bit better)
nightmare before christmas: i saw this in someone else's list, not sure if its disney or not though. But this was a GREAT movie, my favorite part was the music, this movie is just sooo enchanting! corpse bride: another tim burton one, great and so totally weird! music was great in this one too!

and also, tiff i saw that you said that you collect elephants and you have them all over your room, me too! i have tons of em, worst part is, i even named them all after final fantasy and sailor moon characters.

I just saw The Hunchback Of Notre Dame this weekend and I must say it's managed to top The Little Mermaid as my new favorite Disney movie of all time. I love how this movie is so much darker than Disney's usual films yet they still manage to throw in enough comedy to keep it from being too depressing. The animation is really impressive and I loved the musical score, my personal favorite Disney song of all time being "Out There", with "God Save The Outcasts" as number two and "Hellfire" (such a kickass title for a Disney song) as number three. There were some moments where I couldn't believe they actually let this movie get away with a G rating in the U.S. Not that I have any problems with the rating...I just found it surprising that they took as much risks with this film as they did.

The violence was never really graphic but Disney didn't exactly sugar coat the whole thing either, unlike what they typically do with cartoon violence. I mean, it's five minutes into the movie and already one of the characters is dead and there's a surprising amount of religious undertones for a G film in it, too. Esmerlada is such an awesome character with a lot of spunk and energy and I loved how they had a love quadriangle where the main character
didn't get the girl of his dreams in the end after all, for a change.
And Frollo is truly one of the most evil of all Disney villians. I also loved those hiliarious gargolgyes that added just the right amount of comedy in the right moments too, especially the one scene where they parody the Wicked Witch's flying monkeys from The Wizard Of Oz. That was just perfect. And Qausimodo is officially my favorite Disney character. He's just such a likeable character that I can actually sort of relate to as I'm somebody who doesn't fit in with the crowd myself and I admire how he still wanted to save Esmeralda even after
she fell in love with Phoebus resulting in his feelings going unrequited.
It's just such a beautiful movie that's so under-rated and I really wish Disney would produce more darker films like these instead of the usual happy-go-lucky comedy musicals they always do.

The way Disney is going at this rate, they may never make a traditionally animated movie for theatres again which is very sad. And Mad Hattress Belial, thank you for reminding me of Robin Hood. Fantastic movie, I watched all the time while I was growing up. Little John is my favorite.

The best Disney movie is Bambi. The best character is Shere Kahn from The Jungle Book.

"I know what you were imagining."

No innuendos there. XD

I must agree on The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It's one of my favorite Disney movies, but the G rating does surprise me. The story is just so heavy compared to the usual Disney fare, and the scenes are rather intense, even though they never really get bloody.

The animation is beautiful, and the music is fantastic. I really identified with "Out There" in my own, weird way. Of course, any musical score with Latin tossed in instantly gets points with me. ^^;

Same here, it was my grandmother who got me hooked on it; I'd watch it almost every time I went over to her house, and I admit when I'm home alone at times every one and awhile I'll pop my VHS in and sing along with everything, especially the Prince John song. Oh, and is it just me, or does the opening theme to RH sound a lot like the Hamster Dance slowed down?

As far as Disney films go, I am partial to Mulan and, to a lesser extent, Anastasia; both captivate me but Mulan's music is truly fitting and a welcome departure from the previous Disney stories. Now for characters I find Aladdin to rock.

As far as I can recall Hunchback very nearly did get a PG rating. I'm not sure how they managed to get the G one.
