Favorite Movies
1.) Aladdin - It's funny and just a great story. I've loved it for years.
2.) Lion King - I still cry at the end. And it has beautiful music… I'm talking about the background music, not Hakuna Matata.
3.) Mulan - I love the story! The animation is beautiful, too.
4.) Emperors New Grove - It was a nice break from all of the sappy musical numbers you find in other Disney movies.
5.) Beauty and the Beast - It's been a favorite of mine forever. Beautiful.
Favorite Characters
1.) Raja - (Aladdin) No one gives props to the kitty!
2.) Genie - (Aladdin) They really killed Genie in the second movie. Robin Williams IS Genie.
3.) Scar - (Lion King) He has the coolest bad guy song ever in a Disney movie.
4.) Mushu - (Mulan) We all know that six inch tall Chinese Dragons speak like Eddie Murphy.
5.) Cronk - (Emperors New Grove) He sings his own theme music! He rules!
6.) The Beast - (Beauty and the Beast) I think he's cuter with the fur… WHAT?!?!?!

oh yeah...
Cusco, Emporer's New Groove: I love the commentary he will randomly give. The part with Cronk:
"He sings his own theme music? I am sure glad I was unconsious for this. Yep, Big, stupid, AND tone deaf."
other scenes are hystarical too... David Spade rules!

Alladin: Genie ROCKED!!!!!!!! Robin Williams didn't NEED a script, the animators just let him loose and he practically MADE that movie!
The Emperor's New Groove: Difficult to name just one favorite character from that movie. And the anacronisms were just dead-on hilarious!!!!!!

I'm writing this Sailor Moon/Green Lantern crossover AU fic called "Emerald Sunrise". It's a hybrid of Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, and Comedy. It's about Ami (Sailor Mercury) getting a new boyfriend who just happens to be a member of The Green Lantern Corps. I'm also throwing in some other characters from other animes and some old Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the late '60's early '70's. I'm also illustrating it as well.
Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.

My favorite Disney movie is The Fox and the Hound. Disney does maudlin well, and it's just so sad when
Widow Tweed has to drive Tod away never to see him again, and he doesn't understand.
My favorite character is George Banks from Mary Poppins. He comes off as somewhat stupid and a villain, but then he gets to do his lamenting song and you can't help having sympathy for him.
(A thought has just occurred to me about George B. His middle initial is W, he's percieved as stupid, he's got two delinquent kids, he works the same job as his father. . . remind you of anyone?)

Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"
The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

I think this is the epitomy of good Disney work, though the Lion King was a good film as well and i think the last great disney animated film. It was smart, funny, and exciting. The voice work was superb, with Robin Willams being the obvious stand out. His Genie is the most compelling character in the film i think. Id say hes my favorite character as well.

“See this butt? Yeah. Look at it. LOOK AT MY BUTT. This is all you’re getting. MY BUTT to look at it. Yeah, bet you’re sorry now, aren’t you? You’d like to see my cute fuzzy face, wouldn’t you? But all you’re getting is the BUTT. LOOK AT IT. LOOK AT MY BUTT. Sucker.”
The thing is, Henrietta has—how can I put this? Kind of a big butt. If Henrietta were a celebrity? She’d be J-Lo.
Not that J-Lo has what I would call a big butt. But others have opined that this is so. I think J-Lo has a normal, healthy butt. As does Henrietta.

Lion King was definitely my favorite of the "modern" Disney animated movies (from Little Mermaid to the present) because while it stilll had the requisite Disney romance, it was a total background to the main struggle-for-power plot. Movies like Aladdin and Little Mermaid and Pocahontas mixed equal parts romance and fighting, and came out as a mixed bag. The only other really pure movie was Beauty and the Beast, where the bits with Gaston were either there as comic relief or to advance the romantic plot.
Of course, my enjoyment of Lion King probably has something to do with the fact that it was basically stolen from an anime (Kimba the White Lion).

Mulan has such a great story, and Hercules is so funny.
Favorite characters: Hades and Panic from Hercules, Kronk from Emprorer's New Groove, and Gaston from from Beauty adn the Beast. Villains are more interesting than heroes and all these characters are so funny! ^_^

I liked all of the Lion King movies, but I prefer Kimba so much more. I thought the third was great. Timon and Pumba rock.

My absolute favorite Disney movie is Alice in Wonderland.
Mainly because I love Alice and I've always wanted to go on little adventures with her.
Plus, it's based on two of the greatest children's books ever.
So yeah, Alice is my favorite character.
Other favorite movies I have are:
The Little Mermaid
The Emperor's New Groove
Beauty and the Beast
Peter Pan
I think that's it, yeah.

Oh there's so many. Let's see, fav movies...
Beauty and the Beast: That movie holds so many memories. I would watch that movie over and over. I think I messed up the tape. Now I own it on DVD. And I still watch it obessively.
The Little Mermaid: Pretty much the story of Beauty and the Beast. I want them to hurry up and put it out on DVD. If it doesn't get the Platinum Edition treatment, someone at Disney will be seriosly hurt.
Aladdin: Robin Wlliams is hillarious in that movie. Evarything about it was great especially the characters.
The Lion King: There is a reason that its the highest grossing animated movie ever. Half the people I know still cry when Mufasa dies.
Fav characters:
Beast: He was such a tortured soul. I always want to cry when he transforms at the end. And I also agree that he was cuter with fur.
Meg: "Thanks Herc, its been a real slice."
That line always cracks me up.
Genie: So funny. So blue.
Belle: I can relate to her on the books thing. She was one of those people that didn't take nothin from nobody.
Quasimodo: He's the ultimate underdog. I just wanted him to punch Frollo in the face.

HAHA! I'm sorry, but I had to say i laughed for like 5 minutes because of that.... 'cause it's so true. one villian you NEVER wanna come across in a dark alley, Milleficent.Tiff wrote:
Milleficent - she's like, the Galaxia of Disney =D
Fav Movies:
Sleeping Beauty. IT's been my favorite movie since I was 5. I had the story book of it. Still have it to this day actually, Milleficent scared the crap out of me.
Aladdin: When I was a kid I'd re-enact it, play it out in my living room along with the movie. all up until I was about 13 (yes I still did it into highschool) I always acted jasmine.... but I found the part of the Genie so much more fun. It's got great memorable characters, great lines... all around great story. A friend of mine bought the DVD for me for Christmas/my birthday and I watched all of the behind the scenes stuff it's pretty cool to see some of that stuff.
Hercules: As with Aladdin I acted this one out too, played out Meg for a while.... then... I found Hades so much more fun. Gotta love the comic relief. PLus... You gotta love the shape shifting moronic henchmen hehe.
Emperor's New Groove: Me and a friend of mine would go through school quoting this movie right and left, we named her car "Llama face"
Fav Characters:
The 3 good fairies: I LOVE the fights between Flora and Merryweather! "Pink," "No it shoudl be BLUE!" "PINK!" "BLUE!" and the dress gets ruined.
Genie: Robin Williams... one of the BEST VA's EVER! I love love love him. PLus, I think he's got the best songs in the movie too. "Friend like me" and "Prince Ali" Both great songs.
Hades: Comic relief, and.... "Memo to me, Memo to me MAIM you after my meeting" Love the temper, it's GREAT!
Cronk: He's such an idiot it's great.
Cuzco: gotta love the commentary, and the GREAT lines. "Lemme guess we're about to go over a large waterfall right?" "Yup" "Sharp rocks at the bottom?" "Most likely" "Bring it on" and the "LLAMA FACE! ICKY ICKY LLAMA FACE!"
Okay, now I must go watch an abundance of disney movies.
