did you know that there was a band before Evanescence called Lacoona coil which was acually a band that sounds loads like Evanescence but it came first and it had a male and female singer.

Did anyone buy The Open Door? I love their new album, it's totally fresh yet it still has the same great musical style.

Has anybody heard about this mystery song called "Angel of Mine"? It sounds like Amy Lee, but she confrimed that it wasn't her. Here's a link to the song:

It's really pretty, but I wish I knew who it was. Is there an MP3 to download online somewhere? I've tried Googling but no luck, all I get is that Monica song. >.< And nobody commenting on youtube will say where they found it.

It is really pretty. But to me it doesn't sound all that much like her. Sounds a bit like Within Temptation's lead and Amy Lee's voices were fused to me.
I would like an mp3 version too...
It would also be nice to know where it came from.

Awright Evanescence!! They are such a cool band. I like how their songs are so chilling. And Amy Lee has a great voice too. I've only heard maybe five of their songs, but I like all of them. They're Bring me to Life, My Immortal, Whisper, Haunted, and Call me when you're Sober. I really like Haunted and Whisper, at this point.

I happen to love this band as well, in fact ive said it before they are one of the few bands you can buy now adays and not feel ripped off by buying their cds. They always pass my four or more songs rule as well.

I have a general rule for bands now if I cannot think of at least 3-4 songs that I like from them I dont buy their cds, after too many times buying a cd and only like a song or two if that much.

Ive played my fallen cd so much that I think even my mom can sing the lyrics to the songs well and thats not even her style music lol. And I believe Tiff is right about her voice she is an alto soprano meaning she can shift her voice to medium to high to very low. when I trainned in a chorus when I was younger that was my voice section as well.

Evanescence are my all time favourite band. The first song I heard was "Bring me to life" and I was hooked ever since.

One of their songs that I am hooked on at the moment is "Anywhere" it is so beautiful:

"Hello" is also one of my favourites. One thing that makes this song special is that Amy wrote it in memory of her dead sister.

As SailorVenusFan already mentioned, if y'all like Evanescence, give Lacuna Coil a try. They're an Italian band that Evanescence has a similar sound to (though L.C. has a bit of a heavier metal sound to their music at times). Not to mention I think Cristina Scabbia's voice is as beautiful (if not more so) as Amy Lee's.

Anyway, to get on topic, I do enjoy Evanescence. I have both of their recent studio albums on my iPod, as well as one song from Origins. If you ever get the chance, listen to "Anywhere", it's absolutely a gorgeous song.

The only song I have any quibble with is "Call Me When You're Sober", for my own reasons. But other than that, they are a great band!

I am not in the mood today. I just left a very angry comment on an Evanescence video because some girl called Amy Lee fat. It wasn't just because she called her fat, it was because she continued to harass everyone who defended Amy. She's one of those girls who thinks she's better than everyone else and even has a profile page saying "I'm better than you, end of" I want to punch her in the face. Why must people complain just because Amy Lee isn't a size 0?

Two reasons come to mind:

1) People are stupid and shallow. Look at who we worship and celebrate in Hollywood; young, thin, gorgeous people. It's been said that when a woman hits 40, she can't be a leading lady in Hollywood any more (though luckily there have been some amazing ladies here lately who have debunked that). It's stupid that women are scrutinized for their bra size and jeans size, but they can be absolute idiots and get away with it. *coughParisHiltoncough*

2) This person is a troll, plain and simple. They write something they know will get a rise out of people, regardless of whether it's true or not.

Either way, I'd say ignore this person. In the end, they (and by extension their words) are not worth getting upset over. I agree Amy Lee is beautiful the way she is, and that's all that matters. Not some moron's idiotic trolling.

Princess Latona I agree with you 100%. If the person is talented and has a good personality what does it matter what size they are?
