Super Bowl XXXVIII

Post by Super Yusuke » Sun Feb 01, 2004 3:58 pm

Who's going to be watching today's game? It's between the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers. It starts at 6:25 p.m. est. on CBS.
I wish Yusuke was real.

I'm watching the commercials. Does that count?

I believe it does. It's the only reason people here in Philadelphia would watch it...many are still upset that the Eagles lost three weeks ago.

I'm just watching so I can hopefully see P!NK beat the hell out of Beyonce while Britney beats up Enrique, and then P!NK beat up Britney all while in Roman Gladiator armor, and singing "We Will Rock You."

What?

Oh yeah, I was working *gives thumbs up* I am so happy I was. No one was at the theatre except old women :P But they were pretty bitchy because I DIDN'T call them seniors  I am sad I missed the commercials and half time though.

The game was pretty decent after the first half...I was rooting for the Panthers, just because I can't stand the Pats at all (they always beat my poor Dolphins :( The commercials were OK, but this year I was definitely in it for the game. Again, it was really terrible until the end of the second quarter, and then the action started to pick up. Really good game at the end...too bad Vinatieri pulled off another last-minute win there (aka, the Pats won)

I was going to watch the Super Bowl, for the commercials at least. But my mother watched Trading Spaces, or some such crap all day… That effing music is engraved in my brain… ::eye twitch::

Why did the TV in my room have to crap out?! ::falls to knees:: Why?!

Apparently Janet Jackson showed one of her boobs last night. I was right next to the TV and I missed it! No!!! That's what I get for turning around for even ONE second.

You didn't miss anything. Justin Timberlake just pulled part of her top, and it popped out. Poor Janet's boobie. Defiled by Justin Timberlake. And it's not really a big deal. If anything was atrocious during the halftime show, it was P. Diddy and Nelly. They ruined "Mickey" and "I'm Coming Out." For that, they will die. Horrible, slow, agonizing deaths. Involving rats and boiling water.

It wouldn't be the first time.
But anyway, I don't see what the big deal was. Unless Janet Jackson has silver nipples she was wearing a paisty... and you can't tell me that something of that sort wasn't expected, I mean it was MTV and Janet. I didn't watch the game, I was flipping back and forth between that and the "Chamed" marathon on TNT for the comercials and "Half Time".

Oh, god. That was just...wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong.

Out of the entire game, I only saw a few commercials. Seems that I was spared something great by missing the halftime show.

Hehe, we watched ALL of it except the halftime show. I *never* watch halftimes. I watched Patch's London Adventure instead. "They suck the life out of you! THEY SUCK THE LIFE OUT OF YOUUUUU!!" And I must say, there weren't very many good commercials this year. I did like the Staples one tho. And the one where the two old people race for the chips.

And because of what happened in the Half time show, the soccer moms had a hissy fit and had the FCC crack down on every show on the tube. A HUGE mess to be sure, but I honestly wish the soccer moms would just get lives. :?

I'm writing this Sailor Moon/Green Lantern crossover AU fic called "Emerald Sunrise". It's a hybrid of Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, and Comedy. It's about Ami (Sailor Mercury) getting a new boyfriend who just happens to be a member of The Green Lantern Corps. I'm also throwing in some other characters from other animes and some old Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the late '60's early '70's. I'm also illustrating it as well. Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.
