I agree with the Disney Sequels sucking.

The Little Mermaid 2 must've been the biggest insult to me and probably every other big fan of the original. They basically took the original plot, reversed it, and then made a film that reeked almost as much as the Sailor Moon dub around it. X_x

And I think it ruined the mood of the bittersweet ending of the original.

i don't even BOTHER watching disney sequels anymore... they just ruin the magic of the original.

and the lil mermaid to but I likded the lion king simba's pride

Anyway, I saw the preview scene on the DVD, and it appears that it's going to be some sort of a prequel. As to what will actually happen, I don't know.

Eh, but it's Disney's Little Mermaid. Doesn't bother me. As long as Sleeping Beauty goes un-sequled! ( They already got to Brave Little Toaster ;__; )

Toy Story 3 looks interesting by the poster. Though I can't help but wonder, where's the Incredibles 2?

I heard they were talking about a Dumbo sequel. What the F*** would that be about?

I heard that there is going to be a fox and the hound sequel about Copper going off and being a singer for a bad... I really hope that is just a rumer.

Also, they were trying to develope a Sleeping Beauty sequel but I think it got dropped.

Maybe they'll just go the route of Cruel Intentions 3 or the Wild Things sequels and have this one be about a completely different flying elephant.

And I liked those movies. Didn't much care for Cruel Intentions 2 though.

oh really? I heard it'll be about the Buzz toys have defect so it has to return to Taiwan or something but I thought they killed the project?

Sequels are painful..usually. there are however some very decent sequels that do a good job. There is, for example, toy story 2 whihc i thouh was an excellent sequel...but then there is things such like hallowenton 3 and 4, which even ahs a topic that are just very unecessary...it jsut depends on the creators and how original they can be!

Thats what I thought when I first heard it, but then i went on wikipedia and saw that prince eric and princess meldoy are cast so im like how is this a prequel? but recently the cleared things up some, apparently melody asks ariel about her past and ariel tells it to her, so its kinda aprequel, it seems we even meet ariels mom in ths one!

im gonna watch it because i loove lil mermaid but im not holding my breath for anything special.

the only sequels that i dont think suck are the ones that are planned out that way, such as lotr, harry potter potc etc...

Anyway, IMDB has a listing for High School Musical 2. However, I feel quite justified in saying that despite some energetic numbers, the first one wasn't all that good. Just goes to show that while Vanessa Anne Hudgens can sing, she can't pick movies for crap (OK, so HSM was popular...but Thunderbirds?)
