I'd probably erase the later half of the eighth seasson and all of the ninth season ('cept the AbFab Halloween episode, "Satan, Darling," and the series finale, "Into That Good Night") of Roseanne. Most of the eighth season features the Conners being really mean, rude, crude, and stupid. And the ninth season, hoo boy. Roseanne hitting the lottery and winning $108,000,000? Sooo bloody stupid. The last season of A Different World would have to go, as well as the last season of the Facts of Life and any episode of Diff'rent Strokes with Sam in it (excepting those with Dixie Carter).

http://www.ehabweb.net/people.html They look more Arab, to me, NOT black.

"Her skin was white and hard and opaque as it had always been. Her cheek shone like pearl as she smiled..."
That is taken from the queen of the damned book, when Akasha first awakens. Reading that description, the chick who played her in the movie doesn't fit it AT ALL.

Programs I'd like to erase from my memory:

The newer Dexters- the old Dexters were witty, funny, and decently animated(for an American cartoon). The new ones are none of those things. Well,a t least they gave Mandark parents...

Anything with Bill Cosby- I tried to get into The Cosby Show, Cosby, and Kids Say the Darndest Things, but I can't. Bill Cosby's just not a funny man, IMO. A Different World was okay, though, and Fat Albert looked like a good show.

Saved by the Bell- Sure they had cute guys (Mario Lopez *blushes*), but that was pretty much it. Zack was annoying, Slater was..Slater *blushes*, Kelly was bland and air-headed, Jessie was pointless, Lisa was bratty, and Screech was so stupid and naive I wanted to just strangle him. The storyolines were childish and inconsistent, and I still don't understand the whole "Kelly and Jessie left with no explanation as to why and suddenly came back on the last ep and a new girl showed up, but disappeared on Graduation Day." thing. They could've figured out a better way to pull Tiffani Thiesesn and Liz (forgot least name)'s depatures off.

All Reality Shows- No need to elaborate, since everyone else has already done a good job at doing so.

I agree about the newer Dexters. They suck.

I used to LOVE Saved by the Bell LMAO. It was so cheesy, but I watched that damn show every day...but you're right about the disappearance. I never understood that. Suddenly, they were gone and Tory showed up...and I was like "WTF?!" I loved Lisa and Slater (mm, Slater)...God, what a bad show it was LMAO *remembers the 80's with a nostalgic sigh*

I did kind of like that one recent Mandark cartoons where everything he did was to the cadence of his trademark laugh...

And I'd erase the ending of Big O (episode 26, not episode 13). It just got wierd at the end...

I can think of two episodes of The Simpsons that I HATE.

1) The story about Lisa taking tap-dance lessons. The teacher is so pushy and arrogant it's not even funny, Lisa falling for the "glasses make the girl look ugly" makeover tango movie is sick and not like her, and the thing at the end with the magic tap dancing shoes is just confusing. I also don't like it when Homer and Marge say they like Lisa being into dancing instead of being smart--I thought they were proud of her intelligence on many occasions, especially Homer!

2) The new story about Marge going against people who don't have kids. It polarizes the issues about child-care WAY TOO MUCH. It portrays people who don't have kids (for whatever reasons) as hating kids...that's not always true. Often, people without kids serve as babysitters and things like that! I can understand specific characters having trouble with kids, but generalizations like that are sick! I don't plan to have kids myself, but I still like kids in general and have lots of fun with my younger cousins, for example.

I would like to erase Full House from my memory. I hate that show so much!

IMO, it's just not real at all, and it's so cheesy and corny. If I did half the stuff they did, I wouldn't get an "Aww, DJ..." I would get a, "Jonathan! How many times did I tell you not to do that!"

Hun, I think you're taking the show just a bit too seriously. If you watch the Simpsons as much as Bob and I do, you'll come to see that situations and episodes like this are made to MAKE FUN of people who are actually LIKE THIS. They're parodizing ACTUAL life, pretty much smacking humanity upside the head and saying "LOOK AT YOURSELVES! THIS IS YOU!" The Tango-movie was a play on all of those dance movies that come out and portray that EXACT kind of plot...take Dirty Dancing Havana Nights for example. She's geeky, and then suddenly when she dances, she's HOT.

The simpsons is not meant to be taken as it is. You have to realize the deeper humor behind it. It's one big ball of sarcasm and surrel humor.

that episode cracked me up. "I am EVER so pissed". She's a play on Shirley Temple, dear.

Another show I wish I could erase from my memory (I think someone mentioned this)

The later Family Matters-It was your average family sitcom..until Urkel came. After his arrival, he basically stole the show, and it got very unrealistic. It wasn't even about the "Family's matters" anymore: it was all about Urkel. Oh, and let's not forget the cast changes...remember when lil' Jamie Winslow walked up to her bedroom and never came back down? When Rachel left, but both her son AND diner were kept? Grandma Winslow? Laura's friend from the first two seasons? Waldo? (Granted, I hated his character, but he still deserves mention.) Remember when Richie(Rachel's kid: the light-skined boy) made friends with that loud-mouth orphan and he was REPLACED by said loud-mouth orphan? The only cast change I can excuse was Jo Marie Payton's,( the woman who played Harriet; she also voices Suga Mama on the Proud Family) she was recovering from (an unecessary) surgery, and they had to re-cast her.

That Duel Masters movie that played on Toonami today. I'm not sure whether it's anime, or intended to look like anime, or created as a parody thereof, but it's just plain dumb.

The dialogue was incredibly corny (though much of it seemed to be intentional, and some of the dialogue was actually quite clever), and the CG was really ugly. And the people were wierd-looking

I thought it WAS a parody, with all those corny, misplaced jokes and all. I agree: the animation style IS wierd-looking.

Whatever, Tiff. I know it's a parody, and I know I usually like parodies, but for whatever reason, I didn't like it. Maybe it's because the movie was TOO much like what it's parodying and not bizarre enough.

I'm a big Simpsons fan too, and I know it can't be taken at face value.

Has anyone heard of the movie "Time Stranger"? Its an anime movie from th 80s, and it is absolutely one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen. The "plot" advances by adding more cliches from other time travel movies: meeting someone from the past who thinks your a dead relative, falling in love with someone from the past, nuclear war, time cops, etc. And you'll love the main bad guy's motivation, he wants to stop a future of nuclear war by saving Oda Nobunaga. WTF?!?

Sometimes you get TV series from Disney cartoons that are decent. For example, the Aladdin series was pretty good, but I hate the Disney Tarzan cartoon series because it is absolutely idiotic. Its like those old Tarzan series where Tarzan fights all sorts of assorted crap from the jungle. I saw one episode in the cartoon where he was fighting against a raptor. Seriously.

I would erase Static Shock from my memory as well. That is absolutely one fo the worst superhero cartoon series I have ever seen. Its like the network banged it up because of some petition to diversify. The music is God-awful. Its like generic cookie-cutter hip-hop made by a synthesizer. Static's powers make no sense - how the hell do you move rubber tires and plastics with static electricity? He's too ridiculously powerful as well - its like he's Magneto with electric powers. None of the villains are a challenge, and they all generally suck. They're all teenage dropouts that got shitty powers which don't stand a chance against Static. It's unbelievably preachy as well. I cringe to remember their "Columbine-say-no-to-guns-episode."

Yes, I was defensive last night about that, because I felt insulted by your reply because it made me feel like you were telling me things I already know as if I didn't know anythinig about The Simpsons.

But I do understand your side of it. How could you KNOW I was a fan of that show too? I'm sorry I assumed you'd know that about me. That was unfair.

Rainbow, you take everything as a personal attack, and if you want to post on a board where opinions run rampant, you of all people should know that not everything is meant to be personal or offensive. But I appreciate the apology, becuase I cannot stand when people assume things about me.

The entire series of Tales from the Neverending Story. We read Ende, we expect Ende. Not some überclichéd kid story that will cramp the imagination. Even with the cost of CGI being what it is, they should have still been able to make Xayide's lair look like a hand.

Also: Casino Royale. I haven't seen it yet, but from all accounts, I've heard it to be terrible.

And Gigli. Although it isn't as bad as most people seem to think (it got a decent chuckle out of me with the checking of the nails), it still is pretty awful.

Just thought of another: Young Lions.

This really awful series lasted only one season on Channel Ten.

The series featured two cops (one male, one female). The female one (Donna Parry, played by Alexandra Davies) was a rookie, while the male one (Eddie Mercia, played by Alex Dimitriades) was grieving over the loss of his partner. Inevitably, the two caught the murderer in the first episode.

In fact, there was only one reason I tuned in: One character was played by Tom Long of The Dish and SeaChange fame.
