This is going to be the worst Christmas ever.

ouch.
*blink*
Wow. I think that's ridiculously severe for a wine cooler...but that's my opinion. *shrug* I think this whole thing is a massive overreaction anyway.
most of it is.

I'll just say this:
When my parents get pissed off... it's best to be at LEAST 50 miles away. Hell, my dad takes things out on me and my sister when he has a bad day at work! *he is a psychiatrist*

My sister's staying with my Aunt Renee for my family's vacation, the same one I mentioned in the cancer topic... *I feel really sorry for her...*who also happens to be a lawyer. I think that Aunt Renee will talk to her about this, but do nothing else. my parents say that Katy's probebly going to help her with office work.

Wait... a wine cooler? I thought it was an alcohol party. I'm so confused! Someone, please explain it to me before my brain implodes.

1 wine cooler... 1 ... if she had an alchohol party and only had ONE wine cooler than you should be aplauding her. Oh, and I still don't quite get the whole destroying trust thing, it's not like she stole the cooler from you.

I believe she had an alcohol party, and then afterwards, when she got in trouble, told her parents of another incident where she drank one wine cooler (and was grounded for 3 1/2 months for it -__-. What the hell are these parents gonna do when she wrecks their car for the first time? lynch her?)

That's ok, I'm guessing that the first time she holds a boy's hand she'll be outcast as a slutty whore and then nobody will need to worry about it.

Katy's already been in a car accident. Some person rear-ended her, and my parents blamed it on HER. it was the person behind her's FAULT.

And the wine cooler thing, was in the summer. No, at this alchohal party she had 2 beers, and a shot of whiskey.

*excuse the spelling, I suck at spelling*

Now about the wine cooler. My parents will get pissed, and stay like that for a week. they are DEFINATLY going to overreact to ANY kind of alcohal consumed by my sister, even a pint of a wine cooler.

my parents are nuts.

Here's what I don't get...you sounded pretty nuts yourself in the first post. How do you go from being totally disgusted and horrified by your sister like your parents, to defending her and agreeing that your parents are nuts?

My sister has a boyfriend. My parents tease her about it. well, before this at least.

The thing is, there has been time. My parents ARE nuts, but I agree with them that what Katy did was horrid. I mean, my parents grounded my sister for not singing well enough after she got a tonsilectimy!

Now, what I'm saying is that I am horrified at what she did. I'm defending her by the amount of punishment. 3 1/2 months? That's just as stupid as one thing a nurse that my dad worked with did, saying that a person would need to get a new perscription on a medicine when there were 3 refills left. that is 1/4 of a year. my parents are over-reacting to this, but I think she should be punished for this. not THIS extensivly, but still punished.

wait... i'm getting off-topic *whacks self with off-topic stick*

now, another reason is that I've had a bit of time to think about this. I've calmed down a bit since tuesday, so I am thinking a bit more.

My dad had a VERY hard childhood.
Poor family, 11 people in a VERY small house, Living on a Teacher's salary, fighting nearly ALL the time, a brother who would make out with his g/f in front of all 8 other siblings, VERY hard.
His parents took everything out on their kids. Heck, a 4-5 dollar book was considered the, "Big" christmas present.

that's no excuse. My mother was heavily abused as a child, and never grounded me for not being able to sing with tonsillectomy. I'm sorry, but I think that's just very sick behavior.

*blinks* And I thought my parents were nuts when I was growing up. May I suggest a book entitled "How to Hug a Porcupine, Dealing with Toxic and Difficult to Love Personalities" It's by John L. Lund. I know that you must think shrinks or even books by them must be completely crazy, but I read this one when I was going through a very tramactic time with my mom acting like a very unpleasent parent (and at times a task master) and it really helped me to not draw myself into the situation.

It's just a friendly suggestion for the future.

Back on the topic: Sounds like your sister is going through one of those years. The year when nothing seems to go right. for me it was 16. I'm sure she'll work things out somehow. I'm just very happy that you're feeling a little better.

Anyways, get the hell over it. Yes, drinking is a bad decision when you're underaged, (Although sometimes when you're 21 it's still a bad decision IMO.) and yes, your sister shouldn't have done it, but time passes and things move. Don't let your christmas be ruined because of it. All things are eventually forgiven.

*Gets 'Drukqs, you sound like my mom' looks from everyone* Hey, don't blame me for getting preachy! It's one week 'till Christmas, goddammit! XO

That was 6 years ago. my parents are nuts at times. they get mad over the STUPIDEST things. Katy's physics class is probebly the hardest class in the school she goes to, so a C+ is a GOOD grade. she got that on a test and my parents basicly SCREAMED. she had gotten a sub sandwhich from subway, and this is my dad. "We made our own lunches, and you spent our money on that little subway sandwhich right there!"

I mean... it's HER money. if SHE wants subway, she can have it. you DON'T NEED TO MAKE A BIG DEAL ABOUT IT!!!

arigato Parakiss.

I do care about my sister. that's why I was kind of depressed in school. That's why I've basicly supported her most of my life, and that is one reason I reported this. I love my sister, and doing things like this will only harm her. espically at her age when it's illegal.
