We drove from Alaska to NC when I was 8 years old, and we passed through Canada. We spent a whopping 4 days there (2 at the Edmonton Mall *drools*) before we came into Montana. It was scary! Canada was really pretty, and then we get to Montana, with scary people all around us and a less-than-attractive countryside, and finally to Wyoming, where bears mated on our car. It was a very interesting trip!

I have two questions...first of all...Montana is scary? (I live in IL so I wouldn't know...) and...bears mated on your car? What the heck? Did they climb on top of your car or something? When we take car trips, my dad is able to hook up my N64 or my GCN so I can play those video games on road trips! Anyway, when we went to Canada we didn't go in very far (We just went to see Niagara falls) so I don't know how scary it can be...ParaKiss_Groupie wrote:We drove from Alaska to NC when I was 8 years old, and we passed through Canada. Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....
Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

I used to live just west of Edmonton, so I've been to West Edmonton Mall many times (it was about 15 minutes from our house to the parking lot at the mall). However, to be honest, unless you're planning on going to the World Waterpark (indoor wavepool + waterslides) or Galaxyland (amusement park; used to be Fantasyland until Disney filed a lawsuit), it's pretty much like most other malls (with a few other things). It's just ... really big.ParaKiss_Groupie wrote:We drove from Alaska to NC when I was 8 years old, and we passed through Canada. It's still the world's biggest indoor mall, although I remember reading that the Mall of America was getting some additions, and would surpass West Edmonton Mall. However, I think there were plans to expand West Edmonton Mall, too, so who knows?

You have to realize, though. I moved from Anchorage, Alaska. We had just got a Wal-Mart in town a month before I moved. So, seeing this mall was just extraordinary for me, as an 8-year old boy who loved to shop and had never seen anything that huge. I haven't been there since (9 years have past...*sniffles*), so I'm going by how I remember it.shansen wrote:I used to live just west of Edmonton, so I've been to West Edmonton Mall many times (it was about 15 minutes from our house to the parking lot at the mall). And yes, Celexa. Montana is scary. There's nothing there. Nothing. We hardly saw any houses as we drove through. It really scared me. And yes, bears mated in our car. We went through Bear Country USA (this was in South Dakota, not Wyoming. Sorry), and we stopped to take pictures. This one bear pushed another against the hood of our car, and then they started mating. It was very weird. [/offtopic]

~Places I've been~
I live in Canada, and have only been to the U.S for about five seconds. We were going to Prince Edward Island, and we crossed this innocent looking bridge, and ended up in the U.S. Rather strange.
~Places I want to go~
I am going to Mexico in April, and hopefully England next year.
I reallly want to go to England...It seems so cool....
The Bahamas
France (Although I'd be in big trouble, I'd probably disturb everyone by saying something wrong in French...)
Russia
[offtopic]
Why are Canadians so insane? You should see our government. And the fact that people where I live jump into the lake in the middle of winter, and see how long it takes a van to drop through the middle of the ice could also be a possiblity.

Mr. James : Lost a satellite on liftoff today.
Dave : Cost?
Mr. James : 10 million dollars.
Dave : Result?
Mr. James : Extreme set back.
Dave : Milk?
Mr. James : Spilled.
Dave : Gonna cry about it?
Mr. James : Not even.
Dave : I''m sitting on a rather sharp tack.
Mr. James : That's gotta hurt.
Dave : Well, life's a bitch...
Mr. James : ...And then you die.

I've been to Canada a coupla times, since we have family up there.Sadly, that's about it, Though my parents are seriously considering letting me go to Israel (most likely on a kibbutz) when I get older
.
kinda off topic: My dad went to England on a business trip not too long ago, and brought back some everyday stuff that was just so...weird. The sugar packets were tubes, round tea bags, that sort of stuff. But the best part was this bag of Steves potato rings he brought back. They tasted like french fries, and on the center of the bag was this stoned looking guy(I'm assuming he's Steve). They sure were tasty though.

Peter: Hey Brian, look, my alpha-bits are spelling out a message from another world. It says "OOOOO".
Brian: Peter, those are cheerios.

I haven't been anywhere outside of the US, but the one place I want to go is Cuba, the country where the rest of my family (save for the "kids" in the family) were born. And no, I don't want to stay in the fancy hotels Castro and his men want tourists to see...I want to visit those family members still living in the impoverished, barren farm lands, which are practically all they have left. I'd love to take pictures and record anecdotes to prove to the world that there are a LOT of people unhappy with the way the government is fucking them over...
...ahem ^^;; </political ranting>
Aside from Cuba, though, the places I'd like to visit:
Italy
Spain
Greece
France
Great Britain
Probably in that order, but I'm not 100% about it :P
