Tupac

Post by ParaKiss_Groupie » Tue Nov 25, 2003 8:03 pm

My English class had an interesting conversation today about whether Tupac is really dead or not. Three of us thought he was still alive, where everyone else thought he was dead. I was wondering how people feel here? I personally think he's alive. I mean, he keeps releasing new songs every few months! I can understand him having songs recorded before he died, but that many? Did he do anything besides record songs? So, it's my theory that he's still alive.

If 'Pac was still alive, we'd have heard something by now. I don't think his mother buried an empty casket, anyways ^^;;

Also, don't underestimate Tupac's previous recordings. He did a LOT of underground stuff before releasing joints with major record companies. Even when he went under the Makavelli (sp?) moniker, he was still producing things that were never released in any format. So yeah, I think he's dead, but he has so many songs unreleased that he may have quite the collection of posthumus records.

I don't know if he's dead or alive anymore. I used to think he was dead for sure, but now I have my doubts...

Between unreleased material, remixes, and the ability to sample his voice from songs, I don't think he's recording new material.

I think he is alive and well. In a song he says, "Expect me like you expect Jesus to come back, expect me!"

I forgot what album that's on, but he said it.

Communicating through songs. Interesting theory (Tupac is the fourth Sailor Starlight). I wonder if it's kind of like when those people thought that if you played some albums backwards, hidden messages were in them.

Not really. You're thinking more like subliminal messaging, whereas the line from Jonathan's post was more blatant.

*nods* I agree with Jonathan, as I said above. I don't think that Tupac is dead. There's just too much missing for me.

O.o? "Expect me like you expect Jesus to come back, expect me!" If I said it. Now if I get filled with bullets, I don't think that statement will have any power. Unless you think Tupac has some sort of messiah-like qualities O.o.

No, but they really make him seem like he does. But you're right, Jeff.

But it really makes you think. Why would he say something like that while he's alive? Was he planning to fake his death? I believe so. I also believe he is alive and kickin, raking in tons of cash from movies (Tupac: Resurrection) and unreleased albums.

But how do we know he was really filled with bullets? Or if he was, if he somehow survived? As Jonathan said, he could've been planning it the whole time. Granted, I don't think he planned that far ahead, or even intentionally faked his death, I just don't think he's really dead.

I don't really care either way, but if he were still alive that would be the bigest and best PR statagy E-V-E-R! He could do some major thing on TV and come back as if from the dead. Not to mention everyone know's his name, whether you like rap or not. However, I think that if he were alive it could backfire and make his fans so pissed at him that they'd kill him, repatedly, just to make sure and then it wouldn't really have matterd either way.

I would be mad if he did come back, but it wouldn't really surprise me. He just gives too much clues that he's alive.

In that Worldwide video with the Outlawz, you can see a man who looks extremely like him at the end smoking a cigar. The guy was hiding in the shadows, but I'm pretty sure it's him.

Okay, let's say he survived his attack, or was never even attacked at all. How on earth could something like that be kept secret? Obviously he couldn't go out in public to find means of sustinence (food, shelter, etc.). He would need people to do this for him. In addition, for his plan to make any sense (unless there's something we don't know), the people releasing his records would have to be in on the secret (in order for his money to be delivered). I highly doubt that such a huge secret could be kept by so many people. The whole thing is rather pointless anyway. Even if he is getting all this money, what is he doing with it? He would have to be sealed off from the rest of the world.

He could be in some far away foriegn country... like Fiji(sp?) or something. And not everybody would have to know, just a few certain people that get MAJOR kick backs for keeping his secret. It's not likely, but I think it's possible.

Jed-Kun, you took the words right out of my mouth.

I do believe he's in another country, (Cuba, or Bahamas) and he's probably thinking of making a grand comeback.

They said he would be back in 2003, but since he didn't make his grand appearance last year, he probably won't be back and stay in hiding.

If I were him I wouldn't come back. Why take the risk, he's probably making more money "dead" than he would as Lazorious(sp?) [bible reference. Lazorious came back from the dead, etc.]

I agree. He should keep doing whatever he's doing until he really dies. That way he can continue making more money. Greedy, greedy, greedy.

He's dead. Get over it.

However, he might be playing with Elvis, Andy Kaufman, etc.

Wonderful show of civility there. Do not respond with such rudeness. There's a difference between stating your opinion and insulting the other person. Please take this into mind.

I'M NOT BASHING HIM.

REPEAT: I'M NOT BASHING HIM.

In fact, I respect him as an artist.

So don't make it like that I'm bashing him, son.
