There was a bomb threat at the University of Minnesota today all over the local news today around 1 o-clock. The entire campus has been evucalated. Anyway... How insensitive can some people be? My god. It just sickens you that they are copycats like that.

whats awful about that is the time and personnel it takes to investigate it could potentially lead to a breech that could lead to something serious. People need to grow up seriously, its fake threats like this that make it hard for communications to go threw in real events.
"Have you been half asleep? And have youve heard voices?
I hear them calling my name."
Is this the sweet sound, that calls the young sailors?
The voice maybe one in the same.
Ive heard it too many times to ignore it,
its something that I sposed to be..
Someday we''''ll find it, the rainbow connection

threats like this seem to be happening all over the country. The college I used to go to had a shooting threat yesterday.
I dont think all of them are serious and this kind of thing tends to happen after events like the Virginia Tech shooting (this is one of the main reasons I dont like the huge media coverage we get of events like that. It leads to pranks and copycats)
Hopefully this wont last much longer

These aren't copycat crimes, universities, schools, public places get bomb threats ALL the time. The only difference is now the media is reporting on them and because of the Virginia Tech massacre all these places are over-reacting.
Seriously, if every place shut down that got a bomb threat everytime they got one, our country would hardly be able to function. Yes, some people are sick, but this isn't necesarily a result of the Virginia Tech incident.

Agreed. Hell, when I was a senior in high school, we got two bomb threats.AnimeGuru0 wrote:These aren't copycat crimes, universities, schools, public places get bomb threats ALL the time. Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Apparently 36 schools in California have been under lock down because of a bomb threat: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18203613/ In some ways, I can sort of understand why they're scared since the guy who made this threat actually has a past criminal record, but at the same time closing that many schools seems like an over-reaction.the*blue*girl wrote:there was also a bomb threat at Hasting's University of Law in California. my dad says it's going to be like this for a few days -_- people really are messed up.

My school had a bomb threat to. Well, actually 2. One in my freshman year-we had to stand outside in the rain for 3 years before they finally got us all on a bus to community center where we stayed for the rest of the day before they took us home. Then, we had one this year but didn't take as long. It took us about an hour and a half before we could go into the school. I'm betting there will be one next year and the year after.
