I hate those ads, now I have one ad I keep for a friend of mine who owns a tattoo parlor but he asked me to put that up so I did. Others just blantantly put them or the ones for the free crap that aint free or make money ugh I wish Myspace would do something about them to they spam up my page and it bugs the crap out of me.

Don't forget about the Ethiopian refugee who wants to send you C!al!s and $20,000.

Whoever invented the spambot should be drug out into the street and shot. I just thank my lucky stars that Yahoo also has a spam box.

What disgusts me is how simply they can be made. Simply hack into a collection of e-mails somewhere, set up a random name generator and click "send", thus sending the world you message of "You have just won 10,000 Barely legal young Rolexes! Just send us your digital camera along with your [email protected] and we can send it to you!"

EDIT: And, of course, there's Myspace. I used to have an account with them, and all I got was spam from Myspace and sam in my e-mail account. Once I deleted my page, the spam thankfully stopped. I've heard Facebook doesn't have that problem, so I'm thinking of joining that.

Now even my aol email is acting up. I should be depressed by this cause I must visit adtrack sites that got me pegged as a balding, male who cant get it up, who also needs us citizenship and aparently needs so many get rich quick offers because I dont have my highschool diploma or equivalent yet... seriously who really responds to these emails where they feel they have to send them out like this?

Im sure people who are bald are just itching to get that email to get some hair

Or a illegal alien is scratching to log onto yahoo to get their green card.

And I dont even want to think about the people who need their herbal sex enhancers...yikes

I've been getting those spam e-mails quite often and they've been RAISING my blood pressure to nearly dangerous levels. If I ever found out who had sent them, well, let's just say there would be one less spammer in the world. (After I feed the bastich all 31 different flavors of pain!!)

I'm writing this Sailor Moon/Green Lantern crossover AU fic called "Emerald Sunrise". It's a hybrid of Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, and Comedy. It's about Ami (Sailor Mercury) getting a new boyfriend who just happens to be a member of The Green Lantern Corps. I'm also throwing in some other characters from other animes and some old Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the late '60's early '70's. I'm also illustrating it as well. Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.

Oh the joy of spam mail! The wonder and stupidity of it all! (note the sarcasim) Seriously though, I'm glad that I'm not the only one frustrated by it.

I have hotmail/windows live, and no matter how I try to work with the filters, I still get the occasional spam. Not as much as I did a few years ago, but still it's annoying. I get a lot of those "I'm from such and such and I have lots of money that needs transfering and blah blah blah..." I delete those. Like I need that kind of trouble. Any one ever get the ones from "pay pal" talking about trouble with an account? Those are laughable. Considering I never use pay pal. Another one from "western union" said something similar. Once again, I don't have an account there so I don't gotta worry. People claiming they're the bank are also a pain. One time someone posing as my bank said that I needed to check my online account. Thing is, I don't have an online account at this time. And besides, if there really was a problem, my bank would contact me directly. It's nuts how far people will go to scam you.

Ughh, myspace spam is very annoying. One girl kept giving me mail about get rich quick deals. like surveys and stuff. I deleted her after a while. I'm starting to think there's no safe place from it anymore.

Definately not the myspace bandits as I call them irk me Ive deleted alot of people and warned even friends not to flood my page or inbox with special deals. I have no use for any of that. And the bank and paypal thing is scary I had to change my account information due to someone posing as ebay a couple years ago. There is no limit to what some people will do. And I had someone try to do that with my bank but unfortunately these people dont realize that alot of banks are wise to them. if they have to send me a message there is a secure channel that most users have to log in to see what it is. They never send out information via emails and do not ask you for it. Heck my bank wont even put a url link they expect you to know how to get to the secure page which im grateful for. Still dont stop people from trying though, some people will never learn.

The first time I got my own AOL email account (I was about 12ish) I got an email saying "Contraception for over 60 year olds" with images!!!

I get them a lot on youtube as well. So very annoying.

I was on care2.net one time when I got an email from 'Anonymous' where you couldn't reply back saying "My husband beat me so I left him, I am homeless with nowhere to go, please send me money for help, my paypal account is ....."

Well a) If they are homeless how did they get a PC to type this? and b) as if anyone is dumb enough to give them money anyway.
Ross: You got me a cola drink.
Chandler: And a LEMON LIME!
