Okay, lol. I'm pretty sure none of you watch it, but it's actually pretty funny. I just really would like to know, does anyone here actually watch it?

Personally I just find it to be hysterical! Nicole is just so blunt, and she says the most inappropriate things with a straight face! And Paris seems awfully clumsy. Feel free to share thoughts on the subject. I'll be pleasantly suprised to find anyone here who actually watches it!

I used to like the Simple Life when it didn't seem to scripted, and when they got to go to rural farms and stuff. Plus, it just isn't as good when their seperated.

However, my mom and her boyfriend are obsessed with this show, and TiVO it every freakin' week. Oh, how I wonder about those two...

It is awfully scripted. The whole fight seems scripted. The supposed feud between Paris and Nicole seemed like real feud, up until the episodes started to air. Since then it hasn't been convincing.

If the show was actually about them learning how to work on a farm, then I would have liked it. But since it's about them acting like spoiled brats, then no. And Simple Life? THEY were living the simple life before they came to the farms.

Plus I hate Paris and Nichole.

That show is hilarious. Trust me, I'm no Paris or Nicole fan but they are funny.

I think Nicole is funnier, she is very rude but seems to have a better concept of what is going on (I'm sure they both KNOW what's going on and are familiar with it but Nicole acts more realistic to me)

Yea, Nicole is funnier. I love how rude she is, lol. I laughed when the family asked her not to say any bad words, because I knew it wasn't going to happen! I think she cursed more than usual actually.

I have to say I think Paris and Nicole are in insanely funny. Paris just acts like a "perfect-barbie-dumb-blonde" saying stuff like:

"What's Wall-Mart? Do they sell walls there?"

Nicole is funnier, and wackier. Always cursing, and having no shame. The first three seasons were pretty funny, sans the OBVIOUSLY SCRIPTED PARTS. And some of the things they would do were hilarious.

However, I'm kind of mad they're not friends anymore. And this latest season has sucked. HARD. First off, the whole thing seems scripted. (especially the season finale, yeesh) And they seem to be PROMOTING and FORCING the fact they're not friends anymore. The opening credits, the forced comments, it's fucking lame. And the cliffhanger at the end of the latest episode is so idiotic. I wouldn't be surprised if next season they confirm they're back together or something.

E! should just ditch it after this season. (Just keep the Chelsea Handler show coming!)

I think that's why the show annoys me so much (other than their sheer and utter sluttiness). It's becuase they work SO hard at deliberately sounding stupid. I can't stand when people do that shit. True ignorance is one thing, but it's obvious that these girls get paid to pretend to be morons, and it's just...god, it's annoying to watch.

I like Paris a lot more than Nicole. In the new season, Nicole goes out of her way to be incredibly rude to each week's family. Paris does some annoying things too, but overall she is less of a jerk.

And I agree with everyone about the acting. A friend of a friend of mine ate lunch in an LA restaurant at a table near Paris and said that in real life she was an extremely eloquent speaker. Also, word on the street is that Paris and Nicole are "frenemies" - friends who pretend to be enemies in public for whatever reason.

I feel guilty for even watching this show.

I think some of the things they do is sweet...

But then... I think alot of things some days and more times than not they aren't exactly right.

I never really understood all the negative attention surrounding Paris Hilton. the only difference between paris and any other person her age is that she's rich as hell. I mean, damn, if i could have a TV show (scripted or not) just for the hell of it I would totally do it. Just for fun, nothing else.

Um..No. At least, not judging by how she acts on TV. Most people her age that I know are NOT slutty, stupid, or that ignorant. They don't use babytalk, and they don't flaunt their ass everywhere they go.

Panda, Paris Hilton is a year older than me. I do NOT act like that. =P

Now, if Jeff is right, maybe she ISN'T like that in real life. But she sure portrays a negative image on TV.

I don't like her because she is famous for no reason. She's a spotlight whore. I have to keep hearing things about her and I just think, "so what?" If she were an actress, a singer, or some other kind of celebrity, then I wouldn't have so much against her.

You gotta hear some of the stuff the people on E! and VH1 say about her, it's hilarious!

Ahem. Anyway. I don't think it really matters how she acts. She's rich and famous because she's the heiress to the Hilton... um... treasure. I mean, she obvously isn't actually like that. the only time she is protrayed as a retard is on that show which most of you have stated is heavily scripted anyway. It's what AMERICA wants to see. Now entirely what Paris wants to put off.

I don't think you can grow up that rich and not be smart. She had to have had an excenllent education (not counting college here) plus she's all over the news and media so she knows what's going on (She has her own sex-tape for christs sake). I just think some of you are talking without a good backup. You're thinking exactly what that show wanted you to think about Paris. (and Nicole...)

Anyways, yea, about them being friends, I'm pretty sure that is what they are going to be revealing next season. Paris said the end of this season would be "A big suprise" and I think she thought they would show it at the end of this season. Probably the reason they didn't was because the producers of the show wanted to milk it for all it was worth. During the whole season they seem a little bit too cool with everyone talking about their alleged fight, and the reporter that Nicole hired in the last episode was not a reporter at all!
