Yeah, I hate banks. They either have shitty business hours, or half the hours they ARE open for is considered next day. I deposited $70 cash last week no later than 2PM and it wasn't even available in my account until the next day. -_-Tiff wrote:...WTF KINDA BANK CLOSES AT TWO?

Bought the Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal anniversary edition DVDs today. I've only watched The Dark Crystal. Considering the time it was made, the puppetry is amazing. I'd forgotten how interesting the designs were of the wildlife. I love these movies.
Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you''ve got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.

Just saw my sister off to France for 4 months.
Currently, parents are going insane, and I'm wondering how different it'll be compared to her living in dorms.

So for those who saw my post in the video games thread, today I traded in a few of my games (right into my hold pile XD ) to pick up DDR Mario Mix. Had to do the transaction twice since my ASM forgot to apply the employee discount the first time (because of our current promo and the edge card, lot of shit to do for this transaction) having to post-void the first one. A few hours later after the ASM was gone, one of our employees getting ready to leave for school again this weekend brought in a bunch of games to trade. One of them he had told me a week ago if he found it he would just give to me. So guess what game that was that he found?
DDR Mario Mix
.....Yep, I now have two copies and two pads. Hopefully I can somehow reverse the transaction again without getting the attention of higher-ups (I want my damn games back now, didn't even want to trade them in but I need all DDR games), but if not which will likely be the case, I'll figure out something to do with the extra game. I'm keeping both pads no matter what, gonna have three player action when DDR Hottest Party for Wii comes out next month. =P
So after all that today, finishing up closing the store, coming home and chilling for about an hour, I'm about ready to do some playing after Lil Bush and am about to set my room up. So guess what I discover.
......I left both copies at the damn store. >_<
I thought I put the bag with a penny-ed out guide and both games in my bigger bag with the second pad and a set of free posters, but I guess I didn't. If mall security wouldn't give me a hard time, I'd just go back now and get that bag, but it's just not worth it right now. -_-

My two day's off have been one big ball of irragular sleeping patterns. Tuesday morning I get home after 7am. Usually I go to sleep right away, but stayed up to go to the book store. I got to bed at 3pm, wake up at 10pm, stay up until 2am, then sleep until 7am. That night I fall asleep at 9pm, wake up at 12am, then stay up until 6am and sleep until 10am this morning. Now I'm going to go sleep for three hours before going to work (and oh joy, my parents need me to stay up after work tomorrow morning for an hour or two -_-).

Thanks to work, I slept anywhere from 3-6 hours between my shifts at work, just to go back to work once I'm awake. Yay 12-18 hour days! =DDD
Thanks gods that's over for 3 weeks. Back to good ol' 10 hour days...

About a week or two ago, the backlight on my laptop started acting up. Either flickering or not coming on at all, only staying on if I'm lucky. Of course this happens just weeks after the first year is up, and when I bought the thing I couldn't afford to put the three-year warranty on it, so I was quite frustrated already because I don't have much for cash at least until after I'm done fixing my credit in a few weeks.
However after work today, I decided to make the drive to Syracuse to at least see what Best Buy's Geek Squad would charge for a fix. First I was told that for things like that, they would have to send it to the makers to fix. Which basically tells me they're completely useless to me since anything up to hardware problems I can handle myself. So then the guy tells me it would cost anywhere from $350 - $500 for the charge of it getting fixed. I need a hug that shit, I bought the thing brand new in the middle of that range. I know that laptops are slightly harder and more expensive to maintain, but fixing/replacing something as simple as a fucking light costing as much as the entire system new is completely ridiculous. >_< I may as well save a while and buy a new laptop with a full warranty. My boss listed off a few places that might be able to actually repair it and not have it cost so much, so I'm going to look into those when I get a chance. He also suggested getting a book light to shine into it to hold me over too, so I'm gonna check out Barnes & Noble for some in the next day or two since I get a discount there as they're GameStop's parent company. Still, this whole thing is really frustrating. -_-
