It's not about Christmas, it's about Christmas *music*. There's this whole subgenre that only gets one season of play, so we should extend that season as long as possible. No one says that jazz or country should only be restricted to one month.

Also there's only 1 Thanksgiving song I know of (Adam Sandler's).

The celebrity is then forced to improvise their way through the scene (which always starts with the words "Thank God You're Here") without looking like a total idiot.

Wow, I just read an interesting story at another message board. Copy and paste time.

In second grade I knew this retarded kid named Alex. I say retarded, but I mean that he had an anger problem that made him seem almost retarded. I say German, because he knew very little English and just came from Germany with his family.

He had a helper with him at all times during school. She would watch over him like a hawk.

One day, I was playing with play-dough with something like five other kids, and Alex. Alex made for brown pillars out of the dough, each about six inches tall. He smashed two of them down hard, and asked his helper to do the next one.

She did so, just so Alex wouldn't go on some tantrum.

Next thing I remember was the teacher screaming. Really loud. All of us were rushed out of the room by our teacher.

Turns out that Alex put a pocket knife turned up in the third pillar.

I never saw Alex again.

Uh...It's not that hard. Maybe his father, brother, uncle, or cousin had one. And he simply took it out of the house. Hell, I've found lighters and cigs on the pre-k kids. And when I was in 3rd grade, a friend of mine also brought a knife to school. Granted, she didn't do anything with it, but she had one.

And obviously, an ass beating isn't what this kid needs. It's help...really, really strong psychological help.
