EDIT: .... okay, what the hell. I hear this on the radio all the time and turn it off because I can't stand it, then I download it to listen to it again to see if it grows on me and I start crying. -_-

On a side tangent, I actually saw Blue October live waaaay back in the day because they were opening for another band I like..... x___X;; dear god their drummer gave me such a headache. That's all I could hear from the entire band, lol.

Becuase the song is about a man struggling with drug/alcohol abuse, and he's talking to his mother. He's telling his mother that she needs to go, leave him be, and make finally make herself happy, do what's good for HER. He ends up leaving her behind, becuase he thinks that's what's best, and it's heart-tearing. It's personal to me, becuaseit makes me think of my own brother's struggles years ago, and it really touches home.

In the original, full song, his mother comes on his answering machine in the beginning, asking if he's okay, did he get his medication, etc.

"Current Favorite Songs"... ooh, that's hard. Well, here's some...

Trapt- Headstrong, Echo(mostly all I know)
TATU: All the things she said, Sacrifice, 30 minutes(get annoying sometimes though)
Most Linkin Park songs (burned the Meteora CD, and can't say what song's my fav. like Session a lot though)
Neptune's image song, Unmei wa Utsukushiku. So pretty, and somewhat sad.
Pussycat Dolls "Buttons" song(don't necessarily know if I like it, but gets stuck in my head a lot)

Ash - Goldfinger

Golden Earring - Twilight Zone (thanks to the Twilight Zone pinball I've been playing)

Julee Cruise - Falling (I've never saw Twin Peaks to tell you the truth, but the theme song is very haunting, in a good way; I also remember Julee's performance on SNL when Andrew Dice Clay was hosting, and I got it on tape)

Brian Schmidt - Back to the Future Pinball (main gameplay; yet another pinball song I'm addicted to)

I got into the song because of the video and was surprised to hear that Beyoncé had actually written a song that needed interpretation. There were actually things in between the lines. And her screaming is awesome.

Brandy - Full Moon.
I've loved this song for years. It's just the perfect explanation of love at first sight. Even if she wrote it about her husband that she divorced two years later.
