a Male likes to watch Sailor moon? Cause I;m tooo embarrased to tell my friends that I watch shows, that they think are for girls.

Also, any males here that like to watch Sailor Moon? I havent met many yet.

Well, considering that the other two co-owners of this sit eare BOTH male...

And two of our chibi-mods are male...

..and if you search our posts and look at the genders of half of the members..

..I'd say you're safe.

As for it being "OK"...sure, why not? It's only a cartoon, and if anyone honestly gives you lip about that, you're probably better off ignoring them. I'm 26, have been a fan of the show to varying degress since I was in highschool, and not once has anyone seriously made fun of me because of it (I even managed to get some college friends interested in the show as a result). There's nothing in the show that makes it inherently more suited to one gender or the other; if anything, the writers scripted it with a more male-oriented audience (with respect to the comic), because they felt the comic was lacking in action.

My boyfriend also loves sailor moon. We met online becuase of that very common interest. ^_^ I wouldn't worry. I know a ton of guys who like the show, and most people, I've found, don't seem to care.

If it's OK for girls to watch 'guy' shows, then I certainly believe it's OK for guys to like 'girl' shows. Hell, if a guy admits he likes the Care Bears then I will admire him for that, rather than accusing him of being..."queer." (I hate that word)

I think Sailor Moon is one of the more appreciated cartoons by guys. I remember being in 3rd grade (lord...) and almost none of the girls I knew liked the show but a large chunk of the guys did.

As for your friends, if you don't make a big deal out of it neither will they. Just mention it casually, you don't have to call a fucking meeting like your mother just died so that you can tell them about Sailor Moon. I'd think your gay to.

I would just mention it casually to your friends and if they start acting like jerks, just slip in the line "Come on, Sailor (Fill in the blank) is really hot!" And if they keep giving you a hard time, then maybe you should find some new friends.

Just go to any anime con and you'll find guys who are into Sailor Moon.

Agreed (only a little less rude). ^^; If you mention that you like it casually and not shout it from the rooftops I don't think you'll have a problem. But I don't know your friends and some people give other s a hard time for no explainable reason.

I wouldnt worry about it being "ok" for a guy to like sailormoon.

And dont worry about the "gay" stigma. Personally Cardcaptor sakura and Saint Tail are two of my favorite shows and Im heterosexual lol. Also I know a few guys who are gay and they despise sailormoon.

and if anyone accuses you of being gay just say "These girls wear really tiny skirts and run around in them." That outta take care of that.

Anyway, yes, if they laugh, I can just tell them....they wear short skirts......but thanks for the tips
