o_O How did I say anything insulting? I don't see pointing out that I made a joke is "blatant disrespect of staff". As for "showing me a rule", I've been on these forums long enough, I think I know the rules. I never thought he yelled at me, and I didn't do anything disrespectful in return.

Excuse me for not going into the details of what I was reading... had I, I probably would have been modded at for getting too graphic for these forums or something. So I can't win.

And no it wasn't, because he's called me that (as far as I am aware) every time he's addressed me. Many people have made that same mistake about my screenname on the net in the past, and I was just correcting him. And I hardly see how correcting a mistake is "snippy".
ADMIN MODE:

1) I did NOT say you were insulting. Read my post again. I said that HE didn't insult YOU, and therefore, there was no reason to get snippy.

2) If you know the forum rules so well, then you would know that particular one. Also, in addition, if you've been here long enough, then you know that you sitting here arguing with me only makes this worse for you.

3) Oh, please. We have far more graphic posts than the title and summary of your erotic novel. Now you're just being a smart alec and sarcastic.

If you're going to act childish, then take a week off, courtesy of me.

Sorry to get involed Sylphiel but quit spamming up my thread. I'm trying not to let my temper flare, so please just take it to the PM's.

I started 2 more books today. Japanese Text Volumes 1 & 2! (They're from Yale to so they're kinda hard...)

Not really books I guess but I have to read them and it's on-topic so... whatever.

It's been resolved, thanks. No need to get involved. Back on topic ^_^

I just finished reading She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb. I've read it before, but it's always a good read. It's a very coming of age story about an overweight girl who overcomes rape and other issues.

Rereading Pearls of Lutra by Brain Jacques for the third time. After that, I'll probably start reading The Brothers Karamazov...again.

Brain Jacques fan! *glomps* I used to read Redwall all the time. I've been meaning to get back into the novels. I'll probably end up re-reading the ones I have soon. (Outcast of Redwall was always my favorite).

I have all the Redwall books up to Loamhedge, which I haven't read. I also never finished reading Triss. I want the Redwall Cookbook that is out. Always wanted to try hotroot soup.

The Fearless series by Francine Pascal.

Also, if I can find the space in between, Fingersmith by Sarah Waters.

I'm hooked on Stephen King books since a long time. I'm about to read (and finish) "IT" by King. It's one HELL of a book! (and I don't mean the number of pages)
I've never read a book as thick one as that. And even ENJOYED it! Probably the best Stephen King ever wrote ;P

I'm reading three different books right now...The Grapes Of Wrath By John Steinbeck, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest By Ken Kesey, and Veil Of Darkness By Greg Park.

Once I can find a copy of it, I'll be readin 1984.

Meanwhile... does anyone know who this is by? I'm going to google it anyway but a name would help since 1984 isn't only a book :?

1984 was by George Orwell.

>_< I hated that book. It has to be the second worst book I've read.

Wicked = amazing. I'm already incredibly addicted to it and I'm only on like page 50 or so, I don't think I've ever gotten hooked on a book so fast. At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if I finished it in one weekend ^^;;

I liked 1984. I'm probably different... from almost everyone else here, probably. My mom's having me read Stienbeck's novels right now... and I"ll finish King Rat at Band Camp, probably.

OK, I'll bite. What was the first worst book?

I was scared by 1984, emotionally, and I don't get very emotional. But when I looked at it with cold logic, I found several flaws. Like,
how are they watching Winston all the time? The physical apparatus as well as the manpower would be incredible. And when they arrest Winston, it happens in private. But what if people rebelled in public? Sure, they'd be shot, but one of the premises of the book is that martyrs can destroy The Party.
Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"

The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."
