This thread is about what you are currently (or just finished) reading.

I'm currently reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens (it's proved to be a very good book thus far

) and Issac's Storm by Erik Larson (I think that's his name, I don't have the book with me right now...)

I'm currently reading "The Great Hunt" by Robert Jordan. (The 2nd book in the Wheel of Time series.)

The 1st book was pretty good, but it took me a while to get into it. Now it's just great.

I am reading the Tokyo Mew Mew manga and once I'm finished with that, I'll be starting One Piece. (Yeah, I need books with pictures in them)

I am reading Isaac Asimov's On Chemistry, a series of essays on the history of the science. And I just finished Citizen of the Galaxy by Robert Heinlein. It was interesting, but vignette-ish. No Stranger in a Strange Land to be sure.

My current project is Todo Tiene Su Tiempo: Tiempo De Llorar, Tiempo De Reir, Tiempo De Sonar Y Tiempo De Pensar, by Luis Aguilar Leon. The book is essentially a Cuban exile's perspective on the revolution of the late '50s and the impact it's had on the people of the island. I'm only through the first chapter, but it's a good read so far.

Do not disrespect the mods. Yes, humor is allowed, but you're also expected to add to discussion rather than just saying "porn" and nothing else. He showed you the rule. You were not yelled at or insulted. So there is no need for blatant disrespect of staff.

The "Slyph" thing was obviously a typo, so don't get snippy about it.

o_O How did I say anything insulting? I don't see pointing out that I made a joke is "blatant disrespect of staff". As for "showing me a rule", I've been on these forums long enough, I think I know the rules. I never thought he yelled at me, and I didn't do anything disrespectful in return.

Excuse me for not going into the details of what I was reading... had I, I probably would have been modded at for getting too graphic for these forums or something. So I can't win.

And no it wasn't, because he's called me that (as far as I am aware) every time he's addressed me. Many people have made that same mistake about my screenname on the net in the past, and I was just correcting him. And I hardly see how correcting a mistake is "snippy".
