Holy sh*t...

Post by Neon Heart » Tue Jun 06, 2006 8:16 pm

Christ, I just found out a few seconds ago that our next door neighbor was killed between Sunday and today. The officers who talked to us believe that the cause didn't look natural, and are suspicious of whoever might have been living with her at the time.

It's just like... Wow. The news is outside, the cops are outside, and I;m all freaking out because I don't know if the killer is still around or not and if he'd try to come in any of our houses or not.

Have they looked through your house?

o_o It would scare the crap out of me if I were in your situation. To have someone that lived so close to me murdered. Murdered. It makes you wonder if it was a random act of violence or someone close to them. ::shakes::
And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

wow thats scary.

a few years ago in my old neighborhood the guy across the street from me (a real jerk too) got killed in a bad drug deal. that was pretty scary for a little while. The murder happened downtown from where I lived but still it was pretty close to home.

Excuse me if I make any stupid typos as I type this... I'm just so nervous right now, I can't feel my hands.

Well, apparently the woman who was found tonight could have actually been murdered as far back as Friday or Saturday. It's all just really messed up. Everyone only knows a little but, not a whole lot. Needless to say, the entire neighborhood is pretty scared right now.

No, and I'm kind of surprised they didn't. We do live next door to them, and you'd think the police would look through the house of the next door neighbor. Who knows.

I don't know if the act of violence was random. All I know is that her nephew might be a suspect. He was staying with her, and now her car is missing. And yes, it's scaring me, because I don't know what kind of a nutbar this guy might be, and I don't know if he'd ever come back to try and do this sort of thing again.

And mom wonders WHY I don't like the area I live in? Ugh. I know it happens everywhere, but it seems like it happens more in my area than anywhere else. >_<

I would be scared too, especially if it was my NEXT DOOR neightbor!! Just be careful!

In my complex there are 3 entrances, I live on the third entrance, and last year, around october, someone who lived in the second entrance got shot while getting out of their house, they said it was a planned shooting. I walk home from school everyday, so thats scary because I pass by that entrance all the time.

But try to keep an eye out. For me, I would have never suspected a shooting to happen in my neighborhood, at all! But be careful since it just happened recently!

Oh, things like that usually happen in your area?

I'd say to go and outright ask the police to come and look around your house, just to see if someone might have been around there at all that shouldn't have been. It's a good chance that whoever killed her won't return anytime soon, and may be far away by now. Most murderers are one-time offenders and wouldn't ever be able to do it again, and given that there is a good chance that her nephew was somehow involved. Most victims know their offender at least a little bit. You have every right to be scared, so like I said, have them come and look around for you if you think it might help you get some peace of mind.

And sorry for sounding like a textbook, I'm a Criminal Justice Major. It happens quite often.

I know how you feel; two years ago six people (and a little dog) were murdered a couple of streets away from my house, and for a few days nobody knew what the situation was. We were never in real danger, but I was terrified.

Turned out it was over an Xbox. Really awful.

Ahhhh!!!!!! If I were you, I would go to a relative that lives far away or something. I would just be too scared! Hope they catch the murder.

Man, that's scary as hell, hun. *Hugs* I hope you calm down soon and feel less shaky.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I would recommend not being alone for a while until this clears up a bit. Its what I did when they situation that happened to be happened. it made me feel a lot safer knowing someone else was there.

Wow, that's really scary! Are you still staying at your house right now?
I be on my guard right now because who knows what that person will do next.

I would be totally freaking out if I was in this situation. I've seen way to many horror movies.

Hope everything goes well.

Uh, well, these people who lived somewhere up north used this house as a vacation home, and during the time of year that they weren't there some guys (the murderers) broke in and just started living there. When the owners found them they made them leave and gave them most of their stuff, but apparently there were still some things waiting in boxes, including an Xbox.

The owners went back up north and allowed their granddaughter to use the house. She had a cute little dachsund dog, and she had a bunch of co-workers from the local BK staying with her, or having a party (I'm not sure) when the three guys came to the house at night and started banging on the doors and stuff. They left, came back later, and bludgeoned everyone to death with baseball bats, including the dog.

It was really awful because the murderers were a year older than me and a lot of people knew them, one of the guys murdered was a couple of years older than me and well-known. Everyone in my city knows some bizarre fact of the story, like the guy who lent them the baseball bats (not knowing what they were going to do). It made national news when it happened.

So far, everything here is still quiet. Mostly. Some news crews are obviously still around, and the Kansas City Star came by today to ask my mom's boyfriend a question... Of course, he refused to comment, only because he doesn't wanna be on the news or the paper or anything. ¬_¬ But, for today that's pretty much it. So far, only about 40-some minutes 'till the 5pm news.

I am still a little worried, because I still don't know if that dude would ever try to come back and try anything. But judging by the fact that the entire neighborhood and the next freakin' block over know about this and are doing everything to keep everyone safe, his coming back is unlikely. Possible, but unlikely.

It's still way too messed up though, WAY too close to home. >_<
