Oki, like the subject said, I got a question.
When my mom was a kid (back in the 60s), she saw a horror-movie. It was about a couple who end up on an island. There they find a ship. Mom have a vague memory that there were corpses there, but she is not sure. Anyway, the couple finds food so they start to eat. But after a while, stuff (either moss or mold) starts to grow all over them. At the end of the movie, an another ship shows up and see the couple, completely covered by the mold/moss-thing.
The question; is there anyone out there who knows the title to this movie? I've been looking and asking around like crazy on the net and in movie-stores, but I've not found anything.
All mom knows is the story, and that the movie was made sometime before 1961.
Would be very happy if someone could help.

Question about a movie

I dunno. I was just looking at it and I suddenly got this urge to get inside. No, not just an urge - more than that. It was my destiny to be here; in the box. And then when I put it on, I suddenly got this feeling of inner peace. I can´t put it into words. I feel... safe. Like this is where I was meant to be. Like I´d found the key to true happiness.
~Snake from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
I´m some kind of high powered mutant, never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
Bad luck! I´m are suffering from Rivalee´s Syndrome.
Cause: thinking too hard
Symptoms: aphasia, vague gills, mildly squeaky voice, eyelid swelling
Cure: cryogenic freezing until science catches up

This mold/moss thing reminds me of an episode of I think "Tales From the Crypt" ?
It's about some guy that fiends a meteor.... At the end of the episode the guy is dead and, he and every thing that came in contact with the meteor are covered in some strange plant growth.
Maybe that will lead some one to the answer? i'm sory i tride to help :(

As for the original post. Was the movie in black and white, because that might help date the movie. Does your mom remember the names of any actors in the movie, or any of the character's names?
It's not from Tales From The Crypt. I just went through all the episodes on tv.com (I was looking for the name of a different episode) and didn't see that discription anywhere. Kind of sounds like a Twilight Zone episode though. This is not an answer

Peachvampiress has an account on DeviantArt. Insanity Within.
And a Myspace account for her clothing designs.

Yep. I and mom saw the movie some time ago, and it was then she started to think of the old movie.djtaylor wrote:You're right it's not Tales From the Crypt.
What I was thinking of was "Creepshow". It's a movie.
It was in black and white, but unfortunally she can't remember the actors or the names on the characters.peachvampiress wrote:As for the original post. I don't think it's a TZ ep... I'm a pretty avid fan of the original 60s TZ and I don't remember any episode like that.
If it's B-Horror, here's a good place to start:

They have reviews of a ton of movies in that genre.
