She did have a very good voice. I'm just partial to Sarah's Christine since... after all, the part was WRITTEN for her by ALW, her husband. For that reason IMO not really anyone can compare, at least I haven't heard anyone sing it quite like her. One of the scenes that really struck me as weaker was in POTO the song with the high notes at the end. Sarah just BELTS those and Emmy Rossum (sp?) hit them fine but she definitely didn't put the same emotion into it.
Really? the part was written for her? I honestly didn't know that. I have a few Sarah Brightman songs (including music in the night) an dher voice is extremely powerful, and quite lovely.

I'd love to see it live, damn it. T_T it was in dallas like a week ago.
It was a wedding gift I do believe. I saw The Phantom of the Opera when it was playing at the Pantages (sp?) Theater in Toronto. The special effects are more impressive live on stage then on a movie screen. For the movie, all I wanted was Gerard Butler no to mess up Music of the Night. So much for that. I was hoping the movie would mention the Phantom's name was Erik.

Musashi: Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is an awesome movie.
Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you''ve got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.

A couple of weeks ago, I watched all of the Batman movies on DVD, and after watching through all of them, here are my rankings:

1. Batman Begins
2. Batman Returns (or, the Batman equivalent of The Empire Strikes Back)
3. Batman '89
4. Batman Forever (IMO, this is when the franchise jumped the shark)
5. Batman & Robin (as a comedy movie, yes, but as a Batman film, it sucks!)

If you tell them to fight, they'll fight. But they need to be inspired, and let's face it, 'Superman'...the last time you really inspired anyone... was when you were dead." -- Batman, to Superman, Infinite Crisis, issue 1

I LOVE Batman Returns, that's my favorite. <3 :D I idolized movie-Catwoman growing up, lol.

I also enjoyed Forever despite a lot of critics panning it. Yeah, its pretty cheesy, but c'mon... its a comic book movie.

Haven't seen B & Robin, nor do I want to. Too scared to, quite frankly. ^^;

Begins was pretty good from what I remember. I'll have to see it again while not drunk to fully pass judgement =P

In a nut shell, this is Batman and Robin

(For additional hating on Batman and Robin, I recommend reading The Agony Booth's recap of the movie. It's long but it's funny.)

And second on Batman Returns being kickass. It's one of my favorites. Even the new special addition DVD is amazing.

I wondered if I was the only one who enjoyed Batman Forever. ^^;

I nearly died laughing after I watched that clip! In fact, I managed to snag a copy of the clip off CollegeHumor.com!

I counted a total of 35 ice puns by Mr. Freeze (sadly, no "Ice to see you!" a la McBain), and by my count, there's at least 50 ice puns total.

You can learn about my analysis on my blog, in the entry "Bats on the Brain".

As for Batman Forever, the deleted scenes improved the movie in a big way.

Ice. Cold. Frozen. Winter. Ice. Winter. Ice. Chilly. Winter. Ice. Freeze. Freeze. Freeze. Freeze. Chill.

Having Mr. Freeze say "Ice to see you" would be cheesy as hell, but it would have redeemed the movie a little bit.

Batman Begins was the film that redeemed the francise in my opinion. I liked Batman and Batman Returns but the other two with Val Kilmer and George Clooney in the lead role left me cold, but Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones as the villains in Batman Forever were absolutely hilarious!!! Arnold Scwartzenegger as Mr. Freeze was a serious miscast. He should have been Bane.

I'm writing this Sailor Moon/Green Lantern crossover AU fic called "Emerald Sunrise". It's a hybrid of Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, and Comedy. It's about Ami (Sailor Mercury) getting a new boyfriend who just happens to be a member of The Green Lantern Corps. I'm also throwing in some other characters from other animes and some old Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the late '60's early '70's. I'm also illustrating it as well. Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.

I kind of liked it, especially the bits with Jim Carrey as The Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face. Pure comedic genius!!!

I just watched Superman Returns yesterday at the Union Square theatre in Washington, and I was floored by the movie. My fave moment was Kevin Spacey's performance as Lex Luthor, and the way he said "Kryptonite"!

Yeah, I wanna see that, but I might wait until it comes on DVD because there are too many other movies coming out soon I want to see more. >_>

Namely, Lady In The Water (because I am a huge M. Night fan and want to have his ubermovie-babies) and Clerks II.

I saw the movie Prozac Nation the other day. I probably won't watch it, again, though. It's pretty intense, and I was slightly irritated with the girl's mother, who I seriously think is psycotic. I only say she's psycotic because when she's talking to (yelling at, really) her ex-husband, she slams the phone down multiple times, breaking it, screaming "I hate you so much" and she let's out this huge, shrill scream.

And that right there, was what made me think, that's where Christina Ricci's chracter got her mental problems.

I also think the movie is intense because... Well, I just think it's hard watching a movie about someone going through depression, and watching her cut herself. That's just hard to watch, for me. =/

The Omen, saw it the 2nd day it game out ) which was ment to be Doomsday I think xD)

Anyways, It was Okay, ntohing special, just OK.

Some bits were far too unrealistic, like, the scene where the demon child's fake mom was in hospital, and the evil nanny killed her. I mean, wouldn't there be someone in there with the patient if she was in a near fatal condition?. Well, the movie isn't exactly realistic, but I guess I shouldn't complain XD.

Nacho Libre.

Mindless humor was all it was, and that's all I expected it to be. I enjoyed it for what it was. ^_^ Jack Black was amusing, and I liked the small bit of music that was in it.

I didn't mind the remake, but her death in the new movie really pissed me because the original was better and more realistic.
At that point she isn't near death. Her husband phones her from Israel and tells her to get ready to meet him. As she's getting dressed the nanny comes in and pushes her out the window and she falls through an ambulance outside.
The new one was so lame.
OooOOOoooOOOoh, I'm going to put something in your tube while we have a close up of your heart rate. Teh SCARY LULZ!!!1111
Went and saw Superman Returns yesterday. It was a good movie, but not a great movie, IMO. It just seemed to slow down too much in some spots.

Holy shit. This turned out to be a GREAT movie. It was not at ALL what I thought. It was a complete surprise. Even Derek, who doesn't like Adam Sandler and who is horrendously picky about movies, liked it.

The previews make out to be this mindless comedy, but it's so completely not. There's far more drama and touching moments than humor, and the whole movie completely makes you think. I was crying by the end, and Derek was completely touched.

I loved it.

I gonna have to check that out. I've never been touched by an Adam Sandler Movie.
