I finally sat down and watched Elf. That was a fairly unique movie. Definately a fish out of water there. But it was funny.

Been rewatching my Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Green Gables the sequel dvds. I love watching them. It's very soothing when my world is stressed out.

Saw Blade Runner last night. Quite cool for something that was done 24 years ago.

A friend told me how good Saw and Saw II were...so when Saw came on Showtime last night, I had to watch it.

And my god, she was right.

It was TOTALLY not the OMG BLOOD RANDOM KILLING YAY story I thought it was going to be (that's certainly what the previews made it look like). Truthfully, there was only one scene that could even be considered gory, and it was a fraction of a second.

It was a complete mindfuck, and I almost needed therapy after it >_> Just ask Bob. I was utterly horrified, but not in a blood and gore way..but in a "oh god, he just totally fucked with their heads and now I'm thinking too much and *dies*"

Anybody who likes a good psychological horror, see it.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Last Friday I saw "The Departed". I liked most of it. But the ending was just "meh". The movie ended up being very anti climatic for me. If you like mob movies, you'd probably like this one.

Who'da thunk a movie by two guys from Melbourne could elicit that kind of response?

James Wan and Leigh Whanell FTW.

I sat down to Spaceballs last week at the recommendation of a close friend. I only sat through 20 minutes of it because that was the only free time I had, but it was so funny! ^_^

God, I love Mel Brooks' films...

Charlotte's Web: A few differences from the book and the fact that Dakota is cute as a button tended to take away from the movie itself, which was otherwise some terrific radiant humble thingamajig of a movie. Oh, and did I mention that Dakota is cute as a button?

I saw Lady in the Water and Excalibur these past two days.

They were movies my dad got for christmas.

Lady was great. Very pretty story and lots of funny.

Excalibur was a bit cheesy and very 80'S

Cinema: "Children of Men"
DVD: "Hostel"
TV: "They Live"

"Children of Men" is a great movie, but some very hard stuff.
"Hostel": bloody, gory, and just plain sick. But it wasn't a bad movie. ^^°
"They Live" is an interesting movie by John Carpenter, but for me it was too much of a "kill the aliens" stories. I prefer movies where aliens are friendly creatures, like "ET" xD

I watched It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas night because my friend kept insisting that it's not Christmas with out watching that movie. I knew the basic plot of it, so I found the DVD that my mom bought and put it in figuring it would be fun to watch because it's only been parodied about a hundred times by every tv series ever in existant.

I didn't know that I would be crying so hard at the end of it!

Great movie. Very touching.

I just saw Eragon a few days ago... All I can say is lamest. Movie. Evar. Boy was I wrong when I thought the book was bad enough. The dialogue was so stupid it made me laugh out loud in places. "I have skills!" - I mean, seriously, come on!

Forget all the hype and just enjoy the movie. Although The Line could have been better placed, it's otherwise good ol' ophidiophobic fun (although one does tend to wonder later how the snakes would so much as be able to attack at cabin temperature).

I saw bridge to Teribithia Saturday night. Surprisingly, Disney did a pretty good job with it and it was true to the book. I feel bad for everyone who went to it thinking it was going to be more fantasy though.
