I don't really care for the smiley feature, which is why I have it disabled. In fact I disable them whenever I have the option. ^^;;

Since we're on the topic of smileys... Are we allowed to use smileys from different websites (like Crack's Smileys, or whatever it's called), or just the smileys on this forum?

Only smilies on the forum itself can be used. Though I may add in more if I feel like it or oif requested.

When I started, we didn't have no graphical smileys, we had ASCII and we liked it.

Damn right. Even today, I still use ASCII for smileys rather that graphical ones.

o.O I thought things like "^_^" were called emoticons?

Either way, that's what I use. I DESPISE preset smilies, like the ones on the forums and the ones on AIM (ESPECIALLY the ones on AIM. *shudder*). I'm always using: ^_^, ^^, ;_;, T_T, ^_~, =D, etc.

I like ^_^ ^^; T_T etc. better because I think they look better. I really don't like the way the ones on here look. I have seen some funny smiles on other boards, but I usually prefer ^_____^ and the rest.

The second one is nice, because there isn't really a good way to express eye-rolling through ASCII smilies.
But mostly, I use ASCII:
^_^ *_* ^_~ O_O O_o o.o >_> <_< ._.
and so on. =D
