Live-action Simpsons!

Looks like that for the UK, the network that broadcasts The Simpsons there did a promo which featured real actors playing the family.

And no, they're not going to do a movie, yet.

That was hilarious, but Marge and Lisa didn't look even close to being accurate. If they didn't want to make the mom's hair blue they could have at least given her a bee hive.

That was AWESOME.

I couldn't believe how utterly accurate it was.

I have to agree that Marge and Lisa look nothing like their counterparts, but hell..that was hliarious to watch.

That's....weird. I think it works though! Homer and Marge are particularly good.

kinda OT, but I just noticed this from reading that ...season SEVENTEEN?!

so wrong.

Oh my god. Just let it die already. The show hasn't been funny for years now. I can't believe anyone still watches it.

That was great! At first I thought it sounded scary but now I kind of wish they'd make an actual live-action Simspons movie. I love the scene where Maggie blows the horn in the car. It looks so cute in live-action.

As far as I'm understanding, they only did the opening live-action, and it doesn't state that they're making a show out of it at all. It's JUST the opening titles, which they filmed solely to promote the 17th season.

And yeah, I agree that the show needs to end. Every once in a while, there'll be like..a tiny humorous scene. But it's note ven worth watching anymore, IMO. I stopped trying to catch it years ago.

Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

At the risk of going slightly off topic....

While, I agree that the Simpsons isn't NEARLY as funny as it used to be, lately I've enjoyed it. While 4 or 5 years ago, I'd agree with Tiff and Kait, and just say LET IT DIE. Seriously, it was horrible. It just......wasn't funny anymore. At all. But the episodes I've seen recently, they've recaptured the magic that made the Simpsons, the simpsons. So IMO, it's starting to get better again. I say, if it's headed back in the right direction again, let it live...but if it starts heading back to what it was 4 or 5 years ago.........then let it die.

And that was hilarious (the commercial). Hehe.

Honestly, I haven't caught the last few episodes, so I wouldn't know. If that's the case, then awesome. If not, then yeah, let it die.

I've only caught a few episodes in the past few years, and I think it's ready to die too. It had a great run, but it's just not the same anymore. Maybe I need to see the episodes Bob did to convince me otherwise. The only thing I've seen on it that was funny to me in the past few years was three years ago when they did a bit of Homer trying to stuff the car full a la Tetris style. Outside of that, I don't see how it's doing well and still going on.

i saw that clip a few days ago. i wouldn't say it was funny, but it was cool how well it flowed.
the simpsons really hasn't been worth watching for several seasons now, it's a real disappointment considering how funny it used to be. it's like they're not even trying anymore. not to mention the fact that there hasn't been one well thought out ending in god knows how long. it's always just some lame ass cop out.
