I got bored one day and signed up for one...and never did anything with it.
For some reason, I get e-mails telling me people are sending me PMs. Who are these people and why are they PMing me? The only info in my profile is my age, location and a Popuri avatar. o_o;

I don't have myspace, i don't really care for it. The annoying thing is that everyone in my school has it!

Well I found this and thought it was pretty funny:
MYSPACE, THE MOVIE!

My Space is fun.. I resisted it for awhile, but find myself indulged in it when I'm online now. lol

I think it could be useful for meeting people. I mean, I met a few cool people off facebook.com, which similar. Except it's exclusive to high school and college students. Anyway of course there's annoying things about myspace... like some of the messages I get on there

I think some of the better ones are the people who create them for cartoon characters and TV show characters. I've seen a couple for the kids from the classic Nick show "Salute Your Shorts." And this one is a fave:

My God....I was bored tonight so I decided to do a little searching for people I haven't seen in a couple of years....and then I typed in the names of people I haven't seen since elementary school.....and oh my God.......it's just "Holy shit!" when you see their profiles and pictures.....and it's like, "My fricken God! This can not be the person I knew in elementary school!!!"

If you haven't tried it yet and would like to see some old schoolmates, go ahead, but be aware. Especially if it's an old crush of yours.

I don't know if I should get one. I've been updating my LiveJournal on a regular basis, and I'm fine with LJ, as well as Wikipedia (as DuoDeathscyther 02).

I don't LOVE myspace, it bores me sometimes. However, I do like it, it's the only way for me to keep in touch with a lot of people. Also, I love to take pictures, and it's fun to post them.

Hahaha, the myspace movie post above me! So funny, and soooo true!!! :D

Hmm...over the past several months I've changed my mind on MySpace. After you graduate high school it's a great way to keep in touch with your buddies and not have to wait 10 years to catch up with them again (if at all).

But those Whore Trains? Nope. Nada. never.

My mother told me recently not to use MySpace because "it's dangerous." Apparently, she's very paranoid about Internet stalkers, but I don't see how MySpace is any more dangerous than any other website. It's only dangerous if you give away personal information or post photos of yourself in public mode. I'll still probably keep using MySpace anyway but I don't use it as much as I do LJ. I just got one for the sake of having it. I don't think it's all that bad of a site aside from the popups. At least changing your layout on it isn't quite as frustrating as it is on LJ. The main reason I don't use MySpace as much is because most of my online friends use LJ, so I only have like two or three friends on my MySpace friends' list and most of them I also have added onto my LJ's friends' list. But one of my friends is getting everyone on her friends' list to add Pokemon songs to their profile, so I added one of the Japanese Pokemon songs to mine. :D

I agree :D

Its not more dangerous. I think ENOPETS has more spammers and stalkers than myspace (That why my neopet is dead-like O.O )

Well, I'm glad they (finally) have the option to set your profile to private. I remember them getting mad at 20-year-olds pretending that they are 14 so that they can have a private profile, and I was thinking, "Well....can you blame them? Why didn't you think of that idea before?"

No, they didn't always have the option. Before June of this year only 14 and 15 years old had private profiles, and I remember the mods saying all the 25 year olds need to quit lying about their age to have a private profile. Here's when they announced it: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ... 47a2355311

I deleted my account just today xp I hate MySpace and saw no need to have an account I barely ever used. The only reason I had it was because a few friends annoyed me into it.

i like myspace. my friends bugged me into getting one, and i was totally addicted for a while. i try to go on everyday now. its a great way for to keep in touch with friends who have moved away and people who i just don't get to see at school but i still want to talk to. but what annoyes me are those people with like, 200+ friends. you know, the ones who add people just to make their list bigger. its stupid.
