I really get annoyed when...

Another thing:

People who think that anime is all about T & A, blood and violence, etc. I can recall back in Fort Gordon, GA, whenever I watch my anime DVDs, people keep telling me, "Where's the nudity, violence, sex, etc."?, and they find that boring and walk out. Maybe those newbies were raised on DBZ, Voltron, Robotech, etc.

Ah, yes, the classic:

(Tiff) I watch anime.
(Ignorant Person) Ewww you like cartoon porn!

Usually, I take that opportunity to teach them about anime. Some of these people truly ARE ignorant on the subject, and that's something that sometimes just takes a bit of learning to fix. I've known many people that thought anime was just T&A and random violence, but i've managed to show them that it isn't..and by the end, they're saying "That wasn't bad..."

But then again, you always have your closed-minded oaf who refuses to even TRY to see your point.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I agree. My parents still refer to anime as 'hentai'. Then they tell this to other people, making others think I'm a sicko or something ><

..o_O; how do they even KNOW the word hentai? Surely you had to teach that to them, or they had to have researched it. And how on earth do their friends know the word "Hentai"?

I have told them about hentai. But then they generalized ALL anime as hentai.

Ahh..that probably wasn't the best route to go if you're parents were ALREADY freaked out by anime. That'd bel ike if a person from a foreign, third-world country has never seen a movie, and on their first visit to america, you showed them porn >.>;

Good point. Now they won't even let me explain the difference. But at this point, I don't really care. My parents don't like anime, but they don't try to stop me from watching it. That's all that really matters to me. If they tried to stop me from watching it based on their biased views, at that point, I would be pissed.

Well, then that's great =D

But at the risk of breaking one of my own rules and acting as though this is a chat room...^^; let's quit replying to eachother for now.

...someone takes my clothes out of the washer/dryer JUST as the light turns off and the machine finishes. I can understand waiting 5 or 10 minutes after the thing finishes, but to actually WAIT there while it's on, then jump at it when it's done, take out my clothes, and start putting them on the table instead of the basket I had lying on top of the machine...I had a lot of fun chewing that guy out when I caught him in the act. PATIENTCE, people, patience...5 minutes won't kill you, honestly.

When people annoy you just for the fun of annoying you. Little brothers are the best example here. When they just won't shut-up, or throw their little sticky-darts at you...
Although someone has already mentioned this, bad movie etiquette can wreck your night. I saw Van Helsing again last night, but there were these kids behind me who managed to talk during almost every single one of those scary, quiet scenes...
Kids: "Ooooh...The vampires are gonna jump out soon...Ooooh...I'm scared...Where;s my mommy? I want my mommy..."

And there was another time, the first time I saw the Return of the King, there were these drunk punks behind us, and near the end, the most emotional scenes, they dropped a vodka bottle and went "My ASS hurts..."
Sorry for ranting. ^_^

Found something else!

What annoys me in an amusement park such as Disneyland Resort Paris! *for those of you who know about any Disney in the world, you might as well understand*.

- When the Disney characters (aka, cast members in costumes) are posing for autographs and photos with a non-disguised cast member nearby to "protect" them. Well, sometimes, there will be a queue made especially, but yesterday, I was waiting for Mickey (and I got my picture!! lol) and I was the nearest person, yet people kept coming before me as if it was normal. At one point, I saw someone was doing that but luckily, Mickey "noticed" me lol, so heck to the stupid people who want to go before anyone else.

- In an attraction called "Honey I shrunk the audience", there's a presentation room before the actual attraction, which consist of a movie projected with special glasses and special effects. Well, in that presentation room, there was a couple almost making out *I don't know if that's the phrase but you get my point* near a door to the next room. How disgusting... it's Disney, not a hotel room o.O;;;

- Out of luck, the same couple does the same in the queue for Star Tours... If there were more people, I would have kicked one of the two in the butt unnoticed >.< :P

Oh, I thought of another one!

I love to draw, but I think that all of my stuff is really bad. But then when I show it to people, they say, "Oh my god, that's so good!!" and it gets me really embarassed and awkward. God, I HATE it.

Am I the only one that finds that...weird? You get ANNOYED that people think your work is good? If you think your stuff is really bad..don't show people. Or stop drawing. They think it's good because your drawings probably ARE good. Your low self-esteem, when it comes to drawing, isn't their fault.

I think she's probably referring to the emotions she experiences AFTER they make those comments, the 'embarassed and awkward' bit. I believe I know what she's talking about, I get it sometimes, and it is really uncomfortable.

o_O; I guess I just find it weird. I love getting praise about my work, becuase it keeps my art going. It makes me feel good when someone else likes my piece. *shrug*

Ah, Artemis's pencil complaint reminded me of my number 1 inanimate object annoyance: cables. I've got a nice tangle below my desk, and sometimes I need to pick out one of the cables and pull it out. Now a cable is basically a cylinder, it neither bulges nor indents anywhere along its length. Therefore, if any part of its length can pass through a given space, the rest of its length should also be able to do so. When it doesn't, when it knots or tangles or simply refuses to move because of friction, I get so annoyed that I pull harder, which makes it worse. I think they should coat all cables with Teflon or similar chemical so we can pull them. Either that, or make them so they can be cut and reattatched at any point.
Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"

The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."
