The meaning of your name

This is complicated for me. My first name is Tina, just plain and simple, but for finding meanings, I usually have to use the extented version which isn't my birth name. Go figure, huh?

Tina is Latin for little one. Whereas Christina (the name I normally look up for these kind of things) means christian or follower of christ.

Mae is ancient greek for pearl. But it can also be a varient of May, derived from the name of the month of May, which derives from Maia, the name of a Roman goddess. May is also another name of the hawthorn flower. From Mavis, the name of the type of bird, also called the song thrush, ultimately derived from Old French. In the spring it migrates to Scotland where it is said to be the harbinger of spring. From Mabel, which means Loveable or just another female varient for Matthew which means Gift of God.

Young is interpeted two different ways. In Korean it means Forever or Prosperity. In English it means the opposite of old.

When put together, my name can mean literally Little pearl of prosperity or young little pearl. However, I've always been told my full name means a loveable young christian. frankly I like both. Although if you ask my mom, she says that mae is from her name Mary and that my name should mean a bitter young christian. she thinks it's a good joke. i'm never going to live down my mood swings as a teenager.

My Middle Name-I don't have one.

As for my last name (which I will not reveal), I really have no clue what my last name means. It's of Spanish descent. So....I don't know. [/i]
