I play my voice!!!!!!!!!! hahaha. I wanted to join band to play the drums, (Bass) but I decided not to.

I learned I wasn't meant to be a soprano ever since I was little-I can't go past the second E above middle C, if I do, I crack.

I know this is a really old topic, but I just now came across it, so I'm gonna type a response. I played clarinet for a long time, I used to be good, for my age anyways, but I really didn't imrpove after jr. high, so I stopped. Right now I sing a lot, I've been singing ever since I was little though, I love to sing, it's like my whole life practically. My vocal range is kinda' between baritone and tenor, I can go to up to G, and sometimes A on my very best day, but I'm not really high enough to say I'm a first fist tenor. I've also tried to play piano, but I never took lessons, so I haven't really learned anything.

Yea for topic ressurection!

I was a tubist, and a proud one (Dan, we are brothers-in-arms). I played many concerts and ensembles, and enjoyed them without exception. Then when I went to high school I joined the marching band. Which tends to make tubists jealous of flautists. ^_^ But the parades were also great fun.

I would like some day to learn how to play basic piano, learn a few songs (I want to find a nice flautist and duet on "Asa no Namikidou"), and though I'll probably never learn it, I love the oboe and bassoon.

I can play the violin and keyboard a little. Very little experience
When it comes to music, dancing is more my thing.

I can't believe I never replied to this topic!

In elementary, I used to play the piano at my friend's house and she was the one who taught me how to play, so I had no lesson fees or a costly piano t pay for. After a while, I thought it was stupid and quit. By the time we got to grade 4, they made us play the recorder in music class. I hated that also.

Currently, I've been playing guitar for nearly 6 years. I've also been singing since elementary. My friend in Calgary has connections and he told me he can probably be able to get me into a professional recording studio. I really want to learn how to use mixing boards! I'm really excited for that, and I apologize for bragging ^_^

I used to be the proud player of an alto saxophone, though I eventually discovered I had little to no musical talent, began to hate practicing and eventually quit. I wish I'd kept it up... it'd be great to be a part of a band with my friends.

I played the flute in Junior High and High School bands, and eventually got tired of it and quit after I graduated high school.

I bought an Ocarina while in Japan (something I've been looking for for over five years). In one hour I learned the first half of Greensleeves. So hopefully I'll find the time to practice and get better.

I've played the clarinet for 5 years(!), and I couldn't imagine playing anything else. I'm moderately good, but I quess I'm better than I think I am because I made 1st chair in All-County Band in eighth grade(That's the highest chair you can get.) I'd love to play acoustic quitar. If I could only get lessons...

I once played the Trumpet, I was getting good but then I got pulled out of public school. (Because I was failing, I can imagine some of the teachers having a conference in the lounge, referring to me as a "Trouble Student".)
I plan to take Bass guitar when I have the money for one.

I can't read music, but I taught myself how to play the keyboard (I can even play some anime songs on the keyboard

). I'm taking guitar in school, so I'll learn how to read music in that class. I also used to play the violin in 5th grade.

Let's see.

I have played (well) in my past, in order of how well I think I played:
Percussion (have been in 2, soon to be 3, musicals: Peter Pan, Cinderella, and soon to be Beauty & the Beast. SCHOOL plays, not true broadway)

Accordion (heck yeah, from Kindergarten-~4th grade, I was da bomb! Didn't even know who Weird Al was)

Drums (trust me, Percussion and drumming are different)

Piano

I guess I'd count the Ocarina, since I bought it and only played it about 3 times, then eventually gave up, since I got bored with it.

Oh, and just to let you know, since I know it, Anthy plays the guitar.

The songbird one? I wanted one of those soooooo badly (especially the silver pendant ocarina). Do you know a good website for learning breathing techniques and playing? My booklet's in Japanese and I can only figure out some much ^^;

I forgot to mention that I have an Ocarina, too. Mine looks like the Ocarina of Time from the Legend of Zelda, as well. I also have a brown silk holding case for the ocarina, as well as two song books.

Yeah, that's the site. I longed for an ocarina from there. But the notes on the page you linked are for four holed ocarinas. Mine has 10 holes on the front, so the four hole notes do me no good. Thanks anyway though ^_^.
