Favorite Bands:

System of a Down:I just love these guys. The thought provoking lyrices, the delightful political messages and the hidden meanings. System is definently a band that knows how to have the perfect blend when writing their song lyrics. Sure they sound kind of harsh at times but it's the kind of music that gets me so pumped up.

Jack Off Jill: I found this band during my "Woe is me stage" but I still continue to like them. They have a song for everyemotion I can think of. no matter what kind of mood I am in I can always find a song to fit in.

Inspection 12:Ah. My little no name Floridian Punk Band. How I love you so. *squeezes*

Richard Cheese: I you like Weird Al then you will absolutely go CRAZY for Richard Cheese. He remakes popular songs into a jazzy lounge style. What fun is it to hear Disturbeds Down with the Sickness in a peppy happy lounge setting. I suggest that everyone at least samples the beauty of Richard Chesse.

I lisen to a wide variety of music in a variety of generes, but ehere goes.

Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! Van Hunt (old-style soul singer no one's ever heard of)
D'Angelo
Missy Eliott

Wow, that one of my favorite bands also. I just rediscovered them while doing karaoke the other night. I have since bought a cd and have been playing the living daylights out of it.

Other favorite bands would include:

Brooks and Dunn
Montgomery Gentry
Rascal Flatts

Individual artists would include:

John Anderson
Reba McEntire
Garth Brooks
Keith Urban
Chris Cagle

There are probably more, but I can't think of them at the moment.

That's about how it was for me. I had completely forgotten about them until I heard "Why does it have to be (wrong or right)" in a store and just went crazy for them all over again. They have such beautiful vocal harmonies.

I don't exactly have a favorite band. I do listen to quite a few, but none are my absolute favorite. I guess it's cause I haven't bought any CDs in a while, so I'm still stuck with CDs mom got me when I was seven.

Does that make any sense at all? LOL, I need caffeine...

Mmmm, music. I'll make this simple, and list what Stanislav (my mp3 player) gets set to the most.

Bands

Garbage
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
Spoon
The Dresden Dolls
The Decemberists
Tilly and the Wall
Tristeza
Mogwai
Placebo

It would probably be easier to just look at my audioscrobbler (last.fm) page, though. The link's in my signature.

.... wow

..... the only artists on your list that I recognise are Madonna, Sarah Mclachlan and 2pac. I must've been living under a rock or something..... well, I haven't listened to any AM/FM radio since the summer of 2002, so that's probably a contributing factor...

You havent been living under a rock. Most of the artists i listed are from the 80's/90's. Most of them are underground or not well known in the mainstream.

I'm really out of the loop, as the only radio I really get exposed to is oldies (which is okay, because most new bands are terrible and sound the same anyway), so it took me awhile to discover these bands, but I love them:

Bowling For Soup is pretty good, but my all time favorite is:

Harvey Danger; I found these guys completely on accident while I was watching a radom anime music video. Just one listen to Flagpole Sitta and I was hooked. I'm willing to bet a dollar no one else has heard of them, though.
STAGE OUT!!!

Top Cat, you are my hero because you have Daria as your avatar! :D

Anyways, I'm not that into bands myself! As far as vocalist go, I'm not really into that many mainstream people either. I'm really a huge fan of Broadway performers! Here are my favorites!

Kristin Chenoweth
Lea Salonga
Susan Egan
Jodi Benson
Norbert Leo Butz

So many more I can't think of off the top of my head!

Those mainstream people I go for the most are Josh Groban and Jewel.

I have a LOT of favorite bands/singers/groups/whatever...And I can't think of any off the top of my head. But I'll just read off the names of some of the bands I see in my CD case:

Mr.Mister
The Cars
The Fixx
Flock of Seagulls
Berlin
Shonen Knife
The Police
Supertramp
Daft Punk
Selena
Tenacious D
Weird Al
Captain Jack
Queen
Riyu Kosaka
King Kong & D. Jungle Girls
BeForU
Motorcycle
Armand Van Helden (however you spell it ^^;)

I have a lot more that I could probably list, but I don't think all of the anime CDs I have bought or burnt really count. ^^;
