Does anyone here know where I can download a program that can let me play DVDs on my computer? Sorry if this is a spam topic, it's just something I've been looking for awhile.
Thanks in Advance.
Computer DVD Player?

I don't think you can play DVDs unless you have an internal or external DVD player drives installed on your computer. ^^;
And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

Here's the two requirements to play DVDs on your computer:
1. DVD-ROM or DVD+/-RW drive (forgot to mention that they're now more affordable)
2. DVD Player software (PowerDVD, WinDVD)

DVD-ROM drive. That was the word I was looking for! I know this is quite strange, but thank you ^_^; I was mulling over my post while I was originally writing it and thinking "I know there is a proper name for a DVD player drive." I would reccommend, PowerDVD. I never use the default DVD player program. PowerDVD, so far, is the best program I've come across.DuoTheShinigami02 wrote:Here's the two requirements to play DVDs on your computer:

Speaking of DVDs, does anyone know of a DVD player program that is capable of DTS sound? My Ghost in the Shell and The Fifth Element DVDs have DTS sound option but the version of PowerDVD that I have can't handle it (my TV could but I lack the sound system) and I don't have the money to buy the latest version. Their is a trial version but that isn't going to last.
Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you''ve got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.

PowerDVD and WinDVD have DTS capabilities, but you're going to have to get the full version, or you'll have to buy the audio pack that contains the DTS feature.Kameko wrote:Speaking of DVDs, does anyone know of a DVD player program that is capable of DTS sound?
