Sailor Mercury or The Batman? Discuss please.

I'm writing this Sailor Moon/Green Lantern crossover AU fic called "Emerald Sunrise". It's a hybrid of Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, and Comedy. It's about Ami (Sailor Mercury) getting a new boyfriend who just happens to be a member of The Green Lantern Corps. I'm also throwing in some other characters from other animes and some old Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the late '60's early '70's. I'm also illustrating it as well. Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.

I think Batman. I think that he's stronger than Mercury.

I'm going to have to give this to Batman. Sure, Mercury is prodigious (sp?), but Batman has a much, MUCH broader world view than Mercury, having studied and worked in so many countries and, thus, being a lot more culturally aware than Miss Mizuno.

I hope you mean mentally, as the topic was "who would win in a battle of WITS".

And I'm in agreement with Starscream.

 WOW!! I kind of thought that they would be pretty much equal in regard of inteligence, since they're both brilliant strategists! And as far as deductive abilities are concerned, The Batman has Sailor Mercury at a disadvantage.

Pitting Team Rocket (Jessie, James, and Meowth) against either Sailor Mercury or The Batman would be like pitting three Alderaaans against The Death Star.

Even though Batman is smart and has experience things around the world, doesn't Ami-chan have an IQ of like 300? If you ask me, that's pretty smart.

She does. But remember, The Batman also has an eidetic memory, has been thoroughly trained in just about EVERY subject, including Criminology. He's also a trained detective. Ami-chan is still in school, though.

having a high IQ doesn't make you smart in all areas. Ami's not wordly, and she doesn't have a lot of the experienced knowledge batman has.

Team Rocket are among the dumbest villains ever...

And I say Batman.

Same as Starscream, my vote is for Batman.

Merc may have raw intelligence, but Batty can dance circles around her if he goes into even the most basic of pop culture topics.

Batman vs Ami.....hmmmm

My vote goes to Batman. I love Ami, she's really awesome, but Starscream put it best.

Ami is super smart, but has her nose in those text books way too much to really be useful in combat. You gotta be more well rounded and I love how Batman knows how to use the night to his advantage. I've never seen criminals flee in terror just from looking at Ami. Besides, Batman knows how to make an outfit like his look good.

And you just GOTTA like those "toys" read, weapons, in The Batman's Utility Belt! 8) *pictures Ami/Sailor Mercury with an ice boomerang and The Batman with a Batarang*

Sorry, but Sailor Mercury IS a lot more formidable in battle in the manga than the anime. Of course the crooks wouldn't flee in terror from Ami, they'd fall in love with her.

Parallax does make a good point. Manga Ami is really good at the fighting. That would be funny though, seeing Ami being chased down the street by love struck villains.

However, I still go with Batman. Gotta love a guy who can pull off the tights look.

O.o; I'm no major fan of those Marvel heroes or villains, but I'm in just about the same league as everyone else when I say that Batman would plow Mercury to the ground, as much as I like her (though likes and dislikes have nothing to do with it...heheh...).

Well, it's not like they try to be evil or anything... (*cough* so says TR's biggest fangirl...anyone care to shoot me now? XP)

And what's an Alderaaan? I have no knowledge of old school Marvel, if that's where this comes from. But if it's from Star Wars, then I'm ashamed, considering that that the old school movies are among my all-time favorite movies.

It's from Star Wars, the Empire Blew it up with the Death Star because well... they're mean like that and Princess Leah lied to them.
