What are your favorite shows?

Post by FoxFire » Thu Oct 30, 2003 9:55 pm

Well since no one has replied to my 24 thread indicating that I'm the only one here who watches it, I was curious what shows people here do like. As I said already, I consider 24 to be the best show on TV currently, with Alias a close second (although it's been getting a little weird lately). If we're talking about the best show of all time, that would definately have to be The X-Files, though the quality declined a lot the last few seasons.

Friends
Everybody Loves Raymond
Seinfeld
Smallville (I'm getting into it, and trying to catch up...I get so lost sometimes, though. I've missed a crapload of it, and I started in the middle)
Will & Grace (also getting into that, but I'm a bit lost there, too. It's kinda stupid at times, but stupid enough for me to laugh at.)
The Simpsons

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

The Original Law and Order
Fraiser (thought I haven't seen these past few seasons)
M*A*S*H (it doesn't come on anymore)
Married ... with Children
Monk (I loves teh monk)
Classic X-Files

And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

- Ally McBeal (NOOO! Why didit have to end?! The ending was way to sudden and abrupt. Ally should have ended up with Larry, but no, Robert Downey Jr. just has to get busted on drug charges and fired from the show. So now Ally has to be sad forever... and she has to raise that little brat all by herself.)

- Will & Grace (I watch it for Karen. It's all about the Karen.)

- Boston Public (Yes, high school is so like this. There are bombs planted every week. Fun stuff.)

- King of the Hill ("I am finally getting the recognition that I have always given to myself.")

- The Simpsons ("Are you going to release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs and when they bark they shoot bees out of their mouths?!")

Has anyone seen the new Tarzan show? Looks pretty bad. I've seen Skin and I thought it was awful.

So true... Karen's hilarious!

Tarzan sucks. Seriously. I hated it. They need to bring back Birds of Prey. BOP was bad in the beginning, but got really good later on. I wish it'd come back. I miss it. Skin just looked weird to me. Kinda like The OC (which I can't stand!).

God, yes. My favorite scene:

(Will) He doesn't count, he doesn't listen!
(Grace) Well, she doesn't count, she's always buzzed!

I agree about Birds of Prey. I thought it was kinda lame at first, but I started to like it more an I wish it hasn't been cancelled. If WB won't bring it back they should make a movie.

I've seen Skin and it's not bad, but it's not as good as Everwood (another one of my favorites) that's on at the same time. I kinda like The OC, but I don't find it addicted the way I've heard many people call it. Skin and OC both work as guilty pleasures though.

God yes *_* I <3 Clark.
And it's called "Like Family". It's a pretty cute show. The ep where the father was trying to be alone with the mother was hilarious. LET'S GET IT OOOON.

- Law and Order is my all-time favourite TV show, with SVU and CI close after.
-CSI, when I remember it's on, and the show after it that's about kidnappings
-any special about ghosts, UFOs, or ancient history
-The Simpsons is a special case. I only got addicted from the 6:00 reruns, because when my dad works late I eat in the kitchen, and the TV in the kitchen doesn't get cable. ^_^;; Occasionally, I watch the new eps on Sundays, but I often forget, because TNT shows movies I like a lot.
-I don't really watch that much TV, but I pretty much always have it on when I'm home alone because it makes me feel more comfortable. I usually leave CNN, Boomerang or MSNBC on; I've found these make the nicest background.
"Come on, you can do better than that!"- Famous last words.

Tiff: Did you see the episode where he was naked??? I was major disapointed 'cause they added flames that wearnt on the commercial and then only did a head shot for the front. I felt lied to and riped off!

Well, the episode sucked, but the commercial was TO DIE FOR!!! If you go to the web site I think that you can watch the old commercial! I'm going there right now!

Edit: They don't have the trailer anymore, : tear :, but they do have a gallery with an ok pic.
