Eh *shrugs* It's modeled after a particular character. I don't see the problem, really. A lot of superheros have skimpy costumes, and so they went with it. And it's obviously not modeled for little girls...a lot of those collector's barbies are obviously for adult collecters. People need to calm down.

I'm going to sound like a huge nerd here, but judging from how nicely the face is painted and the details in the costume, Tiff's right and it probably is the more expensive ($40-$50) Barbie's aimed at adult collectors.

On mattel's official Barbie Collector site they have some nice Cabert dolls that say they're intended for collector's 14+.

Here's the page for Black Canary and it does indeed say 14+. Now my question is, when are they going to make a Catwoman doll that nice.

Huh? Letting your kid play his favorite game instead of letting him going to school where her can learn a few things and maybe have a better, more productive career. This is just too fucked up.

I saw a real gem of a preteen the other day at work, disrespecting his mom. He looked about 11 or 12 and he wanted a $149.88 Star Wars toy. You could tell by looking at this kid that he ran the show in his house hold and his mother looked run down tired--probably from trying to put up with him. She tells him no she doesn't have enough money and he says: "so work more hours". My mouth dropped. My goodness if I ever had the audicity to say that to my mother I would've been on the floor bleeding. But it doesn't stop there, he spends almost the entire time arguing with his mom on what she should put back from the cart because "she don't need it". And instead of telling her kid to STFU she kept arguing--almost applealing to him, that she needed every thing she had in the carrige. I wanted to go up and slap that smug look on this twelve year olds face.

I mean seriously WTF! Why do some kids get off acting like that.

WTF? Is right! When my mom told me I couldn't have a toy I just said okay and then went on with life (usually forgetting about the toy). I would have NEVER done something like the kid did to his mom. I actually remember my sister telling me that during Christmas time, she was the store and her son wanted to get a fancy train set that cost around $200 and she said her son came out screaming and crying because she couldn't afford the toy. What what does that Star Wars toy (that the kid wanted) do anyway?
