ALL free downloading off "illegitimate" clients such as Kazaa or Bit Torrent. That is what they said on TV.

I stopped using file-sharing programs like Kazaa and Bitorrent a long time ago. I'm not about to get a note from the FBI like some poor 14 year old girl got one day (I read it in People magazine) saying she was being sued for downloading music.

*shakes head* sooner than you think, it'll probably be illegal in the U.S., too.

Kid Rock said it best: "What are my thoughts on downloading music? What the fuck do I care, I'm rich."

Exactly, Kid. Exactly.

All these laws against downloading media reminds me of a quote by Andrew Jackson.

"The Courts have made their decision, now let them try and enforce it."

Seriously, downloading media is here to stay. Millions of people do it every day, and no authority and catch all of them. The odds are on your side that you won't get caught. The bigger deterrant to downloading would the shitload of adware and spyware floating around these days. You're a million times more likely to get some crazy virus that will wreck your computer then be caught by the feds.

If you just see the tree, you'll miss the forest;
To see everything, effortlessly, that is what it means to truly see.

Yeah, cuz..that'll make downloading music legal in Canada again...

I think that's more of an insult to the American flag than anything.

Those are funny, especially the ones with Hitler. He looks like an Archie Comics Hitler. But it's one of the misimpressions that ticks me off. Downloading mp3s isn't Communism, it's pure-form Capitalism. Getting the product you want from the best source. At least, that's how I rationalize it. ^_^

However bad that is, I'd much rather have that in charge than the other side. And some of it I do agree with, like:
"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren't punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That's war. And this is war."

"We are engaged in a social, political, and cultural war. There's a lot of talk in America about pluralism. But the bottom line is somebody's values will prevail. And the winner gets the right to teach our children what to believe."

"Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists."

"This crusade, this war on terrorism is going to take a while."

"There is only one way to get rid of nuclear weapons... use them"

"If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual [Gay] sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything!"
(I agree with this last one, but unlike the speaker, I think it's a good thing)

Perhaps I'll do up a compendium of leftist quotes that offend me.

I'm more concerned with the invasion of the countries and the killing of the leaders. Not a perfect agreement, but if the choice is between conversion and leaving a festering pot of anti-humanity, I say convert them.
And if I'm not with Bush, and don't agree with the things our country is doing..then I'm a terrorist? Explain that one to me, please.
It doesn't mean you are a terrorist, it means you're with them. Unwittingly, unintentionally, complacently, but with them. If we had a full on, World War II, kill-the-huns-and-the-japs attitude across the country and our allies, I think it would be a lot harder for terrorists to act effectively. I think a major reason we have not had a foreign terrorist attack on US soil since 2001 is the fact that afterwards, we turned, for maybe a month, into a flag-waving, ribbon-wearing nation that supported any military action . We didn't make inquiries into going into Afghanistan, didn't petition for resolutions, we attacked, quickly, before the enemy could entrench themselves. And they're scared that if that happens again, we might go back there and start invading countries again.

But we don't. We've got a polarized nation, with about half disagreeing so much that they're offended by this. In one way, this is a good thing, because it means physical force isn't affecting our mindset. On the other hand, there's so much vitriol that it seems no middle ground can be found.

But don't miss my first point. I'm not gung-ho behind this, it's just that I'm more concerned with the dangers of going too far the other way. But a little respect would be nice. I don't think nationalized health care is an idea of the Taliban. I don't think it's Hitler-esque to want non-private retirement. And I don't think you're anti-American if you want to turn science over to Washington. But I do think they're wrong, and far more dangerous and detrimental to me than radical Christianity. And maybe if people took that attitude toward my position instead of throwing insults, we might have more internal peace.

This is why I cannot admit to being a Christian in some places without being looked at like a dog.

This goes far beyond right and left. These people are invoking the name of Christ, the lord which they claim to follow, in order to justify hatred. It is the same thing that the Islamic terrorists are doing, you just don't see a bunch of old white guys blowing themselves up.
They don't need to, they have political seats and television spots to get their point accross.

This video gets two WTF points:

1.)The basic fact that it's guys with Super Soaker Flamethrowers (although I admit that the part where the guy draws the design on the grass looks pretty cool)

2.)The German rock music playing. WTF!?

HUGE ASS FLAMES ON VIDEO!!!

Found this on the main page:
Every member of Redneck pride is from the Lower Mainland in British Columbia, Canada.
>_< I thought the land looked familiar. I've been through that area several times (it's on the way into Vancouver). Ironically, these guys probably live really close to the ocean.
Peachvampiress has an account on DeviantArt. Insanity Within.
And a Myspace account for her clothing designs.
