Nanaca Crash (aka Haruko's favourite game)

Post by Jusenkyo no Pikachu » Sun Mar 06, 2005 3:41 am

http://www.yonkis.com/mediaflash/crash.htm

Current all-time record: 2659.43m

NOTE: This is in Flash. And it appears to be in sore need of a guitar or two.

TIP: Hold the mouse button down. It's a power meter.

ETA: 3859.93m

Appearently the characters come from a game called Cross Channel. I know almost zilch about it.

So far my best is 10499.62. Got all of you beat by at least an entire kilometer! I also set my vertical record of about 264 m on that one. The guy was at maximum speed-ish and flew for at least 2000 m before he got anywhere near the ground.

Then, of course, there was the "Type C: Parachute Death Sentence Ver. Nanaca" attack. Best Attack Name EVER.

I love this game. And it's taught me an important lesson: Be nice to Japanese girls (ALL of them), or your girlfriend could end up slapping you so hard that you fly for 2 kilometers.

Here's what I've figured out about who's who and Cross Channel.

All I know of Cross Channel is that it's made by FlyingShrine and is a hentai school dating sim. Plus its available at Himeya Soft.

Character Names:

Nanaka - You should figure out who this is.
Taichi Kurosu - The character that is sent flying. The lead in Cross Channel. Staff with the Broadcasting Club. Easygoing but naive.
Misato Miyasumi - The meganeko. Green. Manager of the Broadcasting Club. An upper-classman.
Touko Kirihara- Wears the red dress. Red. "Ghost staff" of the Broadcasting Club. Pampered, sarcastic, and domineering.
Kiri Sakura - Short blue hair. Blue. Staff with the Broadcasting Club.
Miki Yamanobe - Long blonde haired loli. Yellow. Staff with the Broadcasting Club. Bright. An honor student and always has a smiling face.
Youko Hasekura - Very long dark hair. Purple.
Tomoki Shima - "Slow Down, Death?" guy. Cyan. Staff with the Broadcast Club. Honest and calm.
Hiroshi Sakuraba - "Angle Up/Down" guy. Brown. Staff with the Broadcast Club. Gentle, but lacks common sense.
Yusa Douzima - Only appears in the "Type C: Parachute Death Sentence Ver. Nanaca" Special. Short blonde hair with a white hairband. Bashful.

I can't make much sense from the translator. Anyone here able to read Japanese?

You know you're obsessed when you reply just to report that you've beaten everybody else by a good 12km and have a score now firmly resting at 22500.14m. I've also set my vertical record of at least 400m and got Taichi traveling a good 8km without touching the ground. Also, this is the only time Ive managed to break my previous record. Like I said earlier, the game is NFBSKed in the head but seriously addictive.

^^;;;; ... I wonder how you can get so far...

Like, how many degrees, what strength percentage ? I've tried lots of combinations but so far I only manage 2 kilometers.

That's the interesting thing about this game, though. The first hit has very little to do with how far you get overall. Most of it has to do with luck, the other girls along the road smacking him, and the mid-air hits that the bike girl can do. It takes a while to get used to, but the more you play it, the likelier you are to get a high score. It's mostly coincidence; there isn't a lot of skill involved unless you're very good. My score, for example, was mostly luck (I admit it!)

Luckily I'm pretty good at picking up the mechanics of games like this. Now if I only had the time to try to beat 22.5 km... Ah well. Maybe in a couple of weeks.
