The only thing I gotta say is this:

If I owned a video rental store, I would have a late fee enforced.

And if they lose or they destroy the movie, then they automatically buy it, regardless of whose fault it is.

Precisely. It may look like a good thing on the outside, but like many other things in life, it can screw you over really hard.
