I don't have a digicam, but I have a scanner. I usually take disposable pics, have em developed asap, and scan em.

I can get the Gothic if I try hard enough. Lolita, I'm an expert, and elegance is mine. My problems: My parents won't let me dress like that, and there's nowhere around here to buy it! So, I'm in the process of making my own. I'm cutting apart old clothes, and stitiching them together. I'm putting buttons EVERYWHERE! It's gonna look so cool once I'm done. I'll take pics and show everyone!

I know a witty line for your sign, Anthy! I wanna be an Eggle!

Tiff, do you know of a site that shows different EGl clothes and anime characters? I'm basing all my EGL-ness off of Paradise Kiss, which is full of EGL. Just another reason for everyone to read it! For instance, where's that girl from your site and Anthy's avie from?

I surely do~
the pics are from Nocturne , which has GORGEOUS images.
In the Starlight - actually sells EGL clothing, but it's got good reference pics.
Blue Period - has some scans from the Gothic Lolita Bible

and I look forward to pics.

Does that help a bit?

Thanks, Tiff-sama!!! I'll take pics once I get it done. As my sig says, I'm trying to make a man's EGL outfit. I'm going to start cutting my halloween costume up to make the outfit on Sunday. I don't know when I'll finish the outfit, though

EGL is a fashion movement extremely popular in Japan. It involves a lot of very Gothic-esque, elaborate clothing. Look at the sites in Tiff's post, and you'll see the clothing. The girl in my avatar is wearing EGL clothing, and so are the girls in Anthys. EGL is also the coolest clothing style ever! Unfortunately, EGL is predominantly women's clothing. I have never seen a man's EGL outfit. I have seen lots of men wear the women's, though.

Elegant Goths? I've been dressing and designing clothing like that for about three years now. Someone stole my idea (goes and pouts in her closet). Heh heh. But actually I have several drawings of elegant goth clothes for guys. (Hot Sexy Clothing for guys...YUM!)

Peachvampiress has an account on DeviantArt. Insanity Within.
And a Myspace account for her clothing designs.

Could you e-mail me the pics or something? Because I am madly in love with EGL and I have an idea for some men's stuff, but seeing others would really help! I understand if you don't want to, though. They are your designs, after all.

You also might want to point out what EGL actually STANDS for: Elegant Gothic Lolita.

Thanks for explaining what that means.

I think I'll wear my wolf mask and go on my hands and knees and bark. Maybe. I certainly know how to act like a dog (Diana-breed dog, that is) because I live with two of them.

Well, my (crappy) Starmaker costume is finished and I'm wearing it. It probably would've turned out better if I had gotten help a month ahead of time, but well..maybe next year it'll turn out better. I tried to make the top, but when I put it on, even though I appear to be flat-chested, obviously my bust couldn't handle all of the embellishments on the top, and most of them, well, busted off. I don't have yellow inserts on my shorts, I have no gloves (No stores had any and I'm not old enough to try a fetish shop), no armbands, and no choker. Plus, I don't have a pigtail extension, so my hair's a big mess..How can I expect to do cosplay if I'm always unlucky and my costume looks like crap..well, better luck next year..How's everyone else's costumes turning out?

Anthy went to a Halloween party as "Thuper Gay" by wearing her rainbow clothing and taping an upside-down pink triangle to her chest that said Thuper Gay. To reinforce the rainbow gay pride thing further, she made herself an upside-down triangle wand with which to dub people gay and sprayed her hair with purple, green, and blue washout hair color.

With her lovely little Anthyfriends, Freddy Krueger, Jason, Miss America, a vampire, the color pink, and a spider princess or something, she went out trick-or-treating an hour after it was officially ended and there were no children in costumes roaming the streets. Anthy and company bothered every house in the subdivision and demanded candy.

God, that sounds so fun.
Well, I went to work as Digiko (XD) everyone loved it, and i was nice and content with my body temperature until a water sprinkler broke in the plant, which screwed up the controls, which cut off our air. It's usually about 69 in that store. It got up to 79, which was bad news for our chocolate AND for my poor self. I was DYING.
Then, I went to the party at the Gaming Zone, and proceeded to take home first prize in the costume contest. BOO-YAH!!!!! Ten bucks and five free hours of gaming. Oh yeah, life is sweet.

All my friends came over last night to watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show and then we played DDR. We passed out candy to the 5 children (only 5) that came to our door. Today I'm going to another Halloween party with costumes and stuff. We always have our parties mixed up. But the only day he could have it was Saturday, so it's fine! I get to dress up again!

omg! this year was awsome! ok, when i went to school, my friend had my costume. and she wanted me to put it on to see if it fit. i have band first hour and we dont start until like 15 minutes after school starts. now, it all fit! it was great ^^ but since i didnt have the wig and knee high socks, i looked alike a cross dresser :P that one class period will be a period, taht will live in infamy! girls said i was hot, guys thought i was crazy and questioned my sexuality ¬_¬ i expected that. after taking it off, people were sad i did, but it was a cold day in AZ and, well, i only had boxers underneath the skirt. well, its a great costume. its the costume like they have in PGSM except mines....filled with love =^^= the problem that bugged me was that the little sailor thingy....not scarf....but whats around the neck, one side came undone!!! and if i ran after ringing the door bell 20 times cuz they didnt come to give candy, and we saw them in the house, it was go ALL the way around my neck! other than that, i looked pretty much....like a guy cross dressign with a wig on ^^;; it was funny how the wig made it look so fake, but without it, it didnt look as good. i trick or treated, omg, that was the best. i was in my friends G Ma's "hood" and i got REALLY weird looks from people, then questions from little kids, and like 5 compliments! it was great. and we sang the ....helium song? i dont know, it was the one with all the "Oooh woo oh woo oh oh....etc," then clap a few times and repeat it. it was fun. my companions? death, satan (sexy style) and a witch. i was the only non gothic one :D next year, im either going to be sailor v or umi from magic knight rayearth (its the cover of volume 2 of the manga). see, now everyone knows what to expect for next year :D *goes to gobble up candy*
