Who is your favorite LA (live action) actor/actress?

Post by TheresaJ » Thu Dec 23, 2004 1:31 pm

Mine is Mel Gibson, I've loved his movies since I was a young girl and I love that he made The passion of the Christ. I think he's someone that's really trying hard to be a good person and who loves his family.

Who is your favorite actor/actress and why?

No one comes to mind for Americans. :( But for Japan, I like Matsushima Nanako. For one thing, she's very hot! In movies, she acts with such grace and elegance, even when she's angry. I think she would be great as a live-action Kaioh Michiru. She could even pull off a live-action Belldandy (if there was one), only bad thing to that is that she doesn't have such an incredibly high voice.

And for Hong Kong, I like Flora Chan. For some reason, the movies I watch that has her in it, it always turns out to be such good movies, and I always look forward to scenes with her in it. :) She's not really attractive, just average. Too bad she is no longer part of TVB (or that's what I've heard), the main company for producing Hong Kong dramas.

I think she's a little too old to be Michiru myself. Belldandy maaaaaaaaaybe, but I haven't really seen her in any other role apart from in Ring.

I think my current favourite is either Sean Astin or Andy Serkis. I've met Sean, and how many people could pull off a CGI character without making him seem like an unfunny sidekick?

whats funny is all my favorite actors, no one my age around here knows.....

Sean Connery (my favorite) has made some of the coolest movies in the world, and even made a really boring movie (Finding Forrester) worth watching, also his voice is cool

Malcolm McDowall (which i know I just spelled wrong) is just plain cool and his voice is also cool.

Both would be well suited for villians on any anime series IMO

I'm in love with Gael Garcia Bernal and I also like John Cleese and Graham Chapman from the Monty Python series and movies. Actress-wise, I think Angelina Jolie is just wow. lmao. :D

My favorites? Well, there´re a few...

(Men) Bruce Willis, David McCallum (he´s handsome), Ted Danson, Steve McQueen, Mario López, Raul Julia, Alan Rickman, Eddie Murphy, Michael Winslow, Denzel Washington, Tim Robbins, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, Warwick Davis, Tom Selleck, Macaulay Culkin, Kirk Douglas and James Coburn.

(Ladies) Anjelica Huston, Carolyn Jones, Zelda Rubinstein and Heather O'Rourke

Why? They are (and was) good actors, and some of them are very cool, goodlooking and pretty. But even if they´re my favorites, number one is, and will forever be, Yoshito Endou-sama (can really hear her math-teacher now; Get a life!*

I dunno. I was just looking at it and I suddenly got this urge to get inside. No, not just an urge - more than that. It was my destiny to be here; in the box. And then when I put it on, I suddenly got this feeling of inner peace. I can´t put it into words. I feel... safe. Like this is where I was meant to be. Like I´d found the key to true happiness.

I´m some kind of high powered mutant, never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

My favorite is Canadian actor Patrick McKenna (Harold Green for anyone who's seen The Red Green Show). He's good at comedic roles, but he's also amazing at dramatic. He was in a television drama called Traders and there are two specific preformances of his on the show that moved me to tears. I've been trying to find a DVD of the T.V. movie "A Colder Kind of Death" where he played a murder (one of the few evil roles he's had) because he scared the Hell out of me when I watched it. He was also in the T.V. movie remake of "The Music Man".

That and the fact that he's drop dead freaking gorgeous makes him my favorite actor.

All time, I'd say Jimmy Stewart and Ingrid Bergman. Both of them knew how to add the proper intensity to the climax of a movie. For the present day, I'd say Kevin Spacey for men, and I can't think of a single actress worth counting. Maybe Maggie Smith, who plays McGonnagall in the Harry Potter movies, but she's really not the type who'd open a movie.
Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"

The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."
